On the afternoon of January 5, the Beijing Municipal Communications Administration organized and held the "Drill Day" communication support drill for the Beijing Winter Olympics in Beijing Unicom Mobile Communications Bureau. On the drill ground, these problems have been properly resolved.
The drill was formulated on the basis of the communication support plan and emergency plan of the Beijing Municipal Communications Administration for the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, and with the support for major activities and emergency handling of emergencies during the Winter Olympics as the background, several major support items in the plan plan were selected to carry out the drill, and strive to be close to actual combat.
On the drill ground, the staff from the Chinese tower was remotely controlling a laser wrecker with a computer, and the wrecker was quickly aimed at the ice cube a few meters away, and in less than a minute, the ice cube was smoothly cut in half. This is a device that uses a laser to achieve non-contact foreign object removal, which removes ice from the communication infrastructure by borrowing the characteristics of laser instantaneous high energy, strong directionality and long-distance focusing. According to the staff: "In the past, we used to use sticks to beat the ice down, but now we have this laser wrecker, which can be operated remotely, which is more convenient and fast." ”
With the slow development of satellite antenna equipment, small satellite communication vehicles from Beijing Unicom, Beijing Mobile and Beijing Telecom are immediately on duty. If a mobile communication failure is encountered, the satellite communication vehicle will set up a satellite antenna on the spot to quickly provide communication services. "Satellite communication vehicles can realize the two-way transmission of voice, data, video, image and other signals, and can quickly build a 4G communication service network within 15 minutes." Field technicians said.
During the Winter Olympics, if the number of internet users in the venue increases sharply, causing network congestion and stuttering, what should I do? I saw that the three large emergency communication base station vehicles behind the drill ground quickly raised their masts, and the signal equipment was neatly set up on the masts. It is reported that the 5G signal of the emergency communication base station car can cover within a radius of 500 meters, and the signal of 3G and 4G can cover a radius of about 2 kilometers. A communication base station car can support nearly 3,000 people to use the network at the same time, effectively solving the problem of network congestion in Winter Olympic venues.
How do I request support if I can't find a signal or make a phone call? This question was also answered during the walkthrough. Two staff members took out their satellite phones and began to call for help, and after about a few seconds, the phone that was dialed rang pleasantly. "The satellite phone has a delay of about one or two seconds, and it transmits the signal through the satellite Tiantong-1, which is launched by our country itself, which is very safe." Technician explains. The reporter noted that the size of the satellite phone is like an ordinary smart phone, but it has more antennas than ordinary mobile phones, which is easier to carry.
A total of 7 key support projects were drilled for this communication support drill. In order to effectively improve the communications support command and dispatch and emergency communication support capabilities of the Beijing municipal communications industry during the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, the Beijing Municipal Communications Administration and the Hebei Provincial Communications Administration also jointly conducted network security emergency drills.
"The Beijing command received! Beijing Mobile, Beijing Telecom, and Beijing Unicom are requested to deal with the source of the web tampering attack. The network security emergency drill determines the drill subjects for the common attack methods of the network in recent years and the characteristics of the network attack of large-scale sports events. Finally, the participating parties comprehensively sorted out the links and processes of the exercise, conscientiously searched for loopholes and deficiencies, solidified the results of the exercise, accumulated experience for network security guarantee during the games, and ensured the safe and stable operation of network infrastructure during the Winter Olympics.
There are still 30 days to go before the opening of the Beijing Winter Olympics, and the guarantee has entered the sprint stage of the line. At present, there are nearly 6,000 people waiting for communication support, including 593 venue support, 383 mobile teams, 398 urban operation support, 4,556 whole network support support, 211 satellite phones, 45 emergency support vehicles, and 42 engineering rescue vehicles, all of which are ready and have entered the support area one after another.
