Hao Qingshan (1917-1983), a famous militia hero in China. A native of Hao Baitu Village, Dingxian County (present-day Dingzhou, Hebei Province), he joined the militia in 1942 and the Communist Party of China in 1943. He once served as the commander of the Dingxian militia company and the vice chairman of the Dingxian CPPCC Committee.
Hao Qingshan was a militia hero and an anti-Japanese hero. During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Hao Qingshan led the militia guerrillas to cooperate with the main forces, like a sharp knife inserted into the heart of the enemy, heroic and tenacious, out of nowhere, and insisted on guerrilla warfare behind enemy lines in the area of Dingxian (present-day Dingzhou City, Hebei Province), and won many victories.

Since childhood, Hao Qingshan has been bitter and difficult, and since he was a child, he has hated those landlords and Kuomintang reactionaries who oppress the poor. The Japanese devils invaded and occupied the county seat of Dingxian, killing people and setting fires everywhere, committing adultery and plundering, and arousing the hatred of Hao Qingshan's class enemies and national enemies, who always wanted to slaughter a few of them one day.
In 1941, Comrade Lao Ma, a district public security officer, went to this area to secretly carry out anti-Japanese work, and Hao Qingshan heard for the first time the revolutionary principles of the Communist Party and Chairman Mao leading the people to resist Japan and save the country. He begged the old horse several times, saying:

Night bombing of the Iron Bridge

After several days of reconnaissance, Hao Qingshan found out the situation of the iron bridge south of The Dingxian Station. After the enemy retreated, the county and district leaders estimated that the enemy must come to take revenge, and mobilized the masses overnight to build a three-story large earthen fort four feet high and five feet thick at the T-shaped street entrance in the center of Hao Baitu Village.
