The conference elected a new board of directors, And Han Guangyue was elected as the president of the seventh council of the Shandong Philatelic Association; Lin Lingcai, Su Hongtao, and Xu Guowei were elected as vice presidents; and Qi Jiao was appointed as secretary general.
It is understood that since the "Six Congresses" of the Shandong Postal Association, it has actively participated in various national, international and world philatelic exhibitions, exhibiting more than 200 exhibits, including national awards, large gold awards, gold awards, etc., and all of them have won awards. At the national best stamp selection and awarding conference since the "Six National Congresses", the Shandong Philatelic Association has won the "Activity Organization Award" every year; the Provincial Philatelic Association has been awarded the "Outstanding Contribution Award for the Work of the Association" and the "Advanced Unit for Philatelic Exhibition Work" by the All-China Philatelic Federation for many times. Qingdao and Yantai were awarded the first batch of "National Advanced Cities in Philatelic Culture".
With the continuous deepening of philatelic activities, the academic research results of philatelic philately in Shandong Province have also made a qualitative leap. The "History of Shandong Philately" compiled by the Provincial Philatelic Association has generated great repercussions among the postal enthusiasts across the country, and the "Shandong Philatelic Academic Anthology" has expanded the philatelic horizons for the members of the association and philatelic enthusiasts.
At the same time, local philatelic publications such as "Zibo Philately", "Zaozhuang Philately", and "Liaocheng Philatelic" have been launched, and more than ten philatelic works such as "History of Jinan Philatelic Philatelic" and "Linyi Commemorative Postmark Atlas" have been published one after another, further consolidating the propaganda position of philatelic culture. In the selection of the National Philatelic Essay Contest sponsored by the All-China Philatelic Federation, Shandong Province won the Excellent Organization Award, and the selected works also won the first, second, and third prizes.
In recent years, postal associations at all levels in Shandong Province have held philatelic exhibitions in various forms and specifications to praise the great achievements of socialist construction and express the patriotic enthusiasm of the vast number of philatelic enthusiasts. At the same time, the Shandong Provincial Philatelic Association, together with the Provincial Postal Company, actively recommended to the China Post Group to compete for a number of stamps with distinctive local cultural characteristics in Shandong, such as "Confucius Temple of Kong Lin Confucius House", "Yue Fei", "Li Qingzhao", "Water Margin", "The 120th Anniversary of the Founding of Shandong University", etc., which were successfully issued successively. In addition, the Provincial Postal Association has also actively carried out a variety of youth philatelic activities, and vigorously promoted the construction of juvenile post offices and youth demonstration bases. The Yimeng Juvenile Post Office and the "Juvenile Post Office" of Linyi Fourth Primary School have combined philatelic knowledge with "red cultural resources", used stamps to tell a good job of "party history, new China history, reform and opening up history, and socialist development history", actively explored a new model of "philately educating people", and played a positive role in establishing a correct view of history, values, and life for young people.
The conference put forward the key points of the work of the Shandong Philatelic Association in the future: grasping the development direction of philatelic culture and creating a new situation in the work of the association; solidly carrying out the work of the association and serving the philatelists wholeheartedly; continuing to do a good job in academic research to help the vigorous development of the philatelic cause; focusing on expanding the influence of philatelic culture and creating a harmonious philatelic environment; strengthening the organization and construction of the association and giving full play to the leading role of the association.
The meeting also awarded 109 people the title of "Honorary Members of Shandong Philatelic Association" through on-site collective voting.
