1. Lyudmila's early life

Second, resolutely join the army

At that time, Lyudmila's near-standard female military appearance won the favor of recruiting officers, who believed that Lyudmila could become a very good logistician or a strategic nurse. Eventually, Lyudmila joined the Red Army as she wished, and became a rifle shooter in the 25th Infantry Division. In August 1941, the 25th Infantry Division was ordered to defend a valuable hill.
So Lyudmila received orders to carry out her first sniper mission. In this mission, Lyudmila has just won two heads, and it is from this moment that Lyudmila's real sniper career begins.
At the time, Lyudmila was operating with an observer, and the weapon she was holding was a five-round sniper rifle with an initial velocity of 2800 feet per second and an effective range of more than 600 yards. This rifle was one of the best sniper rifles in the Soviet Army at that time, showing that Lyudmila's ability had been recognized in the army.
During the two and a half months of fighting in Odessa, Lyudmila killed a total of 187 enemies. But even the best sniper shooter can't change the outcome of the game. Odessa eventually fell under the strong German offensive, and Lyudmila had to retreat to Sevastopol with her troops.
Later, in a battle with the Germans, Lyudmila was wounded by German mortar shells. After Lyudmila was wounded, Stalin, the supreme commander of the Soviet Army, learned of the news and immediately ordered Lyudmila to evacuate Sevastopol by submarine. It can be seen that Stalin attached great importance to Lyudmila.
