In December 1937, the Japanese army occupied Nanjing, and created a terrible massacre in Nanjing, hoping to make the Chinese timid and disintegrate the anti-Japanese will of the Chinese, but they did not expect that this move further aroused the resistance of the Chinese and broke out the "Nanjing Poisoning Incident" that shocked the world.

The people who caused the poisoning and liquor incident were two inconspicuous "little people", they were the Chinese Zhan Changlin and Zhan Changbing brothers, who were miscellaneous servants of the Japanese consulate general at that time, and in the eyes of some people, these two brothers seemed to be "traitors", but in fact they were agents of the military command.
Zhan Changlin has the strongest ability among the Zhan brothers, he joined the army as early as 1932, and joined the army "128 Anti-Japanese War", Zhan Changlin has rich battlefield experience, after the baptism of guns and bullets, Zhan Changlin is calm and clever, not timid.
After the end of the battle, Zhan Changlin retired from the army and returned to his home in Nanjing, and started a textile business in Nanjing, in 1934, Zhan Changlin accidentally came into contact with the agents of the military command, it turned out that the Japanese consulate in Nanjing was recruiting miscellaneous services, and the military commander took a fancy to Zhan Changlin and wanted him to apply.
Zhan Changlin, who had a patriotic heart, joined the military command and became an agent who broke into the heart of the Japanese army, when the Japanese army recruited miscellaneous servants very strictly, requiring a little culture, but did not know Japanese and understood Japanese, this requirement was to prevent intelligence leakage.
In addition, there is a requirement, the applicant must have a family in Nanjing, in order to be a good hostage after the accident, Zhan Changlin went to apply, his conditions met the requirements, coupled with the performance of practical and diligent, the Japanese consul general's interviewer was very satisfied with him.
In February 1936, Zhan Changlin's younger brother was also hired into the consulate as a miscellaneous servant, so that the brothers could take care of their work, and in December 1937, the Japanese army invaded and occupied Nanjing, and in the frenzied looting and massacre, Zhan Changlin's family was not spared.
The family property was robbed and the house was burned, and what was even more heart-wrenching was that his wife was harmed by the Japanese army, and the hatred of the national enemy was suppressed in Zhan Changlin's heart, so he returned to the Japanese consulate general and continued to serve as a miscellaneous servant for the Japanese, secretly looking for an opportunity to take revenge.
Until the beginning of June 1939, Zhan Changlin learned from a letter from the consulate that on the evening of the 10th, the Japanese were going to hold a large cocktail party at the consulate, which would invite many Japanese officers and traitor leaders, and Zhan Changlin told the news to his superiors.
The superiors decided to use the banquet to poison, according to the plan Zhan Changlin mixed the poison into the wine, Zhan Changlin calmly took the poison bottle during the banquet, poured the wine into the wine glass on the table one by one, the Japanese army and the traitors in the "Long live the emperor!" Cheers! After the sound, he drank poisonous wine.
Zhan Changlin personally saw the Japanese army and the traitors drinking, and quickly left before the poison hair, the two brothers quickly left the city of Nanjing, their families have also arranged to leave the city, just more than 10 minutes after Zhan Changlin left, the two Japanese clerks fell to the ground and died.
The rest of the drinkers fell to the ground and fainted, because only two or three Japanese people died in time for rescue, probably not enough to measure the poison, but this move was enough to sensationalize the world, and the Zhan Changlin brothers escaped smoothly after being poisoned, which was revealed by Zhan Changlin himself in 2007, and Zhan Changlin died in 2008 at the age of 94.
