"We are all sharpshooters, and every bullet destroys an enemy."
This is the first sentence at the beginning of "Guerrilla Song", in that era when weapons and equipment were very backward, our army attached great importance to the training of shooting skills, especially the training of "sharpshooters".
The "sharpshooters" we are talking about here are different from foreign snipers.
First of all, the vast majority of them are ordinary warriors, have no special professional training, and talent and hard work are the only things they can rely on;
Secondly, the weapons they use are the most common, such as the Three-Eight Big Cover, Hanyang-made, etc., and even the Seven-Five Rifle will be used.
Although they did not have good conditions and weapons, their achievements were exceptionally good.
For example, "East China Shooting Hero" Wei Laiguo, he once used 125 bullets to eliminate 110 enemies, created a miracle of our army's shooting, and was praised as "the person who let the bullets have long eyes".
It is said that he also climbed the Tiananmen Tower six times and won high praise from Chairman Mao and other leaders of the Party Central Committee.

As a "sharpshooter", the gun was a treasure in Wei Laiguo's eyes, and in that war era, it even became a part of his life. But who would have thought that the first gun used by such a "sharpshooter" with a hundred shots was actually a seven-nine rifle.
In November 1925, Wei Laiguo was born in a poor family in Ganzhan Village, Dongshan Town, Rongcheng City, Shandong Province, and when he was 12 years old, he came to the landlord's home to work for a long time and suffered a lot.
At that time, in order to squeeze the labor force, the landlord used him like a donkey, and if he did not do a good job, he whipped him with a whip. Such a life made him really unbearable, so he ran to Rongcheng County to become a mason.
After the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japan, there were often traitors in the village who came to arrest people, and they did nothing wrong, burning and looting, and doing all kinds of things that hurt nature and reason. All this was seen by Wei Laiguo, and he hated it so much that his teeth itched.
In 1940, Wei Laiguo became a pioneer of the anti-Japanese resistance, and his daily task was to stand guard and send out the enemy's information, and as long as he found the situation of the Japanese Kou, he quickly ran to inform the villagers to hide.
Later, Rikou became more and more rampant, which undoubtedly aroused the anger in Wei Laiguo's heart, and he decided not to hide anymore, but to stand up and resist.
One night, Wei Laiguo said to his mother, "Mother, I want to go to the battlefield to kill the enemy, instead of dying at home, it is better to die on the battlefield, if we do not resist, the enemy will only become more and more arrogant." ”
Wei Laiguo's mother burst into tears when she heard this, thought about it for a long time, and finally nodded.
In this way, the 18-year-old Wei Laiguo left his hometown and joined the Eighth Route Army's squadron in the township area, and a month later, he was incorporated into the Jiaodong Rongcheng Independent Battalion and became a real soldier of the Eighth Route Army.
In the Rongcheng Independent Battalion, Wei Laiguo received his first gun, the Seven-Nine Rifle.
This kind of gun is very inaccurate, and there is even a sentence to describe it: "Three shots to hit the rabbit, not accurate." ”
However, even getting such a gun made Wei Laiguo happy. At that time, the team sent him two bullets, the two bullets looked different, one was round-headed, the other was pointed, and it didn't look like the same bullet.
Due to the scarcity of bullets in the troops, Wei Laiguo only practiced aiming in peacetime and rarely carried out live-fire shooting.
He clearly remembered that the first time he went into battle, he gave two bullets and hit four rings with the old seven-nine rifle, which could be said to be quite good at that time, and it was precisely because of this shooting that Wei Laiguo was greatly encouraged.
In the spring of 1943, Wei Laiguo followed his comrades on a mission. At that time, the independent battalion received reliable information that a group of Japanese puppet soldiers would come out to grab grain, and the soldiers needed to ambush and protect the people's grain from being robbed.
Independent battalions had an unwritten rule in ambushes that no more than three rounds could be fired per person in each battle. At that time, as soon as the enemy entered the ambush circle, he was attacked by the Eighth Route Army, and the battle did not last long before it ended.
This time, a total of more than 60 puppet troops were arrested, and everyone was very happy, but Wei Laiguo did not make a sound.
It turned out that he had fired two shots, neither killing the enemy nor capturing the prisoners, and felt a little lost.
However, he quickly adjusted his mood, took the initiative to learn the lessons of this time, and made a difference in the next operation, and even captured a Hanyang zao.
After experiencing several actions, Wei Laiguo gradually realized the importance of shooting, and he began to spend a lot of time training his skills, if there was anything he didn't understand, he would always ask the comrades around him for advice.
Later, he was sent to the Teaching Team of the East Naval Sub-district in Jiaodong for shooting training, and on the way there, Wei Laiguo secretly decided that he must learn all his shooting skills.
In the teaching team, Wei Laiguo's training enthusiasm is very high, and almost every minute is spent on practice.
One night, everyone fell asleep, when Wei Laiguo suddenly sat up from the bed and shouted, "Look where you are running." Then he picked up the gun and fell asleep, and it turned out that he was dreaming that he was fighting.
Early the next morning, before the warriors could get up, they could see Wei Laiguo practicing aiming in the courtyard.
At that time, he often lay on the ground and practiced a thousand times, and the skin on his elbows was worn, and he did not stop.
He not only worked hard to hone his shooting skills, but also attached great importance to learning shooting theory, carefully remembering the names and performances of each component.
In November 1943, Wei Laiguo passed the organizational test and became a member of the Chinese Communist Party.
Since then, he has practiced his marksmanship even harder, and he can be seen on the training ground at any time.
In June 1944, the organization decided to send Wei Laiguo's company to pull out the Japanese army's large and small oar strongholds between Rongcheng and Longsu Island.
One night, Wei Laiguo and his comrades took advantage of the night to row a boat around the oars, and they first cut off the telephone line of the stronghold, and then hid it and waited for the opportunity.
The next day, the Japanese army found that the telephone line had been cut, so they sent a squadron down to find out the reason, and when they reached the ambush point set up by Wei Laiguo, the surrounding gunshots were everywhere, and one by one the soldiers of the Eighth Route Army rushed out, shouting: "Surrender the gun and do not kill." ”
A total of six enemies were captured in this battle, including one named Koki, a Japanese.
Xiao Mu was about twenty years old, and after the education of the Eighth Route Army, he gradually understood that this battle was a war of aggression against China launched by Japan, which brought great pain to the Chinese people, so he decided to do something to stop the war.
On August 18, the Jiaodong Military Region concentrated its main forces to launch a large-scale autumn offensive, starting on the 19th, which lasted for a month and attacked most of the cities in the eastern part of Jiaodong.
At that time, the superiors gave the task of attacking Longsu Island to the three battalions, and asked Wei Laiguo's company to accompany them. There are four pillboxes on Longsu Island, arranged in the shape of "mouths", each of which is 30 meters apart and guarded by more than 50 Japanese troops and more than 100 puppet troops.
When the troops arrived at Ryusu Island, they first sent demolition men to detour to the island, placed explosive packs in various places, and then sent agents to connect to the telephone lines on the island.
The bell rang, and a puppet soldier hurriedly picked up the phone, heard the Japanese talking on the other side, and immediately "Ha Yi" and "Ha Yi" handed the phone to the Japanese squad leader on the side.
Only to hear him ask in a very surprised tone, "Are you Xiao Mujun?" You're not dead? Xiao Mu replied, "Yes, I am here in the Eighth Route Army, they are all very kind to me, you should also put down your gun and surrender, don't go wrong again." ”
Hearing Xiao Mu's words, the Japanese squad leader caught fire, dropped the phone, and scolded.
At this time, Xiao Mu was also a little angry, the other party was stubborn, and wanted to continue to be wrong, so he said to the commander of the three battalions in the Chinese he had just learned: "Fight! ”
The commander of the three battalions also understood that the conversation had failed, so he immediately ordered: "Start the attack." Only "boom" and "boom" were heard, and the bombs placed by the demolition hands exploded instantly, and the Japanese troops on the island were momentarily confused.
The warriors then began to charge, and although the island's bunkers were severely damaged by the explosion, the fortifications were still strong after years of construction.
Around dawn, the three battalions suffered some casualties, so the battalion commander let a company alternately attack.
At that time, Wei Laiguo did not blindly attack, he specially hit the place where the tongue of fire was sprayed. The other warriors followed suit, and within a few moments the enemy's firepower was suppressed.
At the end of the battle, the Japanese squad leader on Ryusu Island was killed, and only 9 of the more than 50 Japanese troops remained, leaving 30 puppet soldiers as prisoners.
Through that battle, Wei Laiguo finally captured the first "38-type" gun in his life, and this gun later accompanied Wei Laiguo to create a battlefield miracle of 125 bullets killing 110 enemy soldiers.
In 1946, the Kuomintang Reorganized Fifty-fourth Army landed in Qingdao with the intention of invading the Liberated Areas. At that time, Wei Laiguo served as a platoon commander in the fourth company of the fourth brigade and eight regiments, and his task was to guard Langezhuang on the east side of Nanquan and guard the eastern gate of the Liberated Area.
Nanquan Station, northwest of Langezhuang, is located at the intersection of the three railways on the Jiaodong Peninsula, and whoever can control this place will largely mean that he has mastered the transportation hub of the Jiaodong Peninsula, which may directly affect the victory of the battle.
One gray morning, the enemy entered Langezhuang, intending to launch an attack on our position.
At that time, Wei Laiguo led a full platoon of fighters to defend the south and southeast of the Langezhuang position. In the face of the menacing enemy, the whole platoon of soldiers was in high spirits and shouted: "People are in the position." ”
Platoon commander Wei Laiguo took out a telescope to observe, calmly and calmly said to the soldiers: "Comrades, we must calm down and wait until the enemy is close before attacking." ”
As soon as the words were finished, a shell of the enemy flew toward our army's position, and only a "bang" was heard, and the dirt that was lifted up was several meters high, and all fell on the heads of our soldiers.
As soon as the shells stopped here, I saw about a battalion of Nationalist soldiers howling and rushing over, like a group of hungry weasels.
"Report to the platoon leader, the enemy rushed over, about 500 meters away from us." an observation sentry said.
As soon as the words stopped, Wei Laiguo stood up and ordered the soldiers around him: "Enter the position immediately, Pan Yunting, the machine gun is mounted on my left side, the fourth squad leader, you are behind me." ”
After saying this, he jumped lightly, landed behind a grave pile at the front of the position, pulled the bolt of the gun, loaded the bullet, stared at the enemy troops rushing forward, and scolded: "Come, look at my 125 bullets, how many can see blood." ”
Only a "clang" was heard, and the Kuomintang soldiers who were walking in the front fell to the ground in response, and with the sound of "ding" and "ding", several more enemies fell to the ground. When the soldiers on the side saw it, they were excited and hurriedly said, "Platoon leader, good marksmanship." ”
The enemy seemed to have discovered that "sharpshooters" had appeared on our army's positions, and they did not dare to rush forward; the enemy, who had just rushed over in a swarm, retreated in a swarm, and they burrowed into the grain field and under the four seasons of beans, and did not dare to come out.
A warrior saw this and smiled, "These idiots, do you think you can't find it when you hide in that kind of place?" This kind of shelf can hide people and go out of the ghost. ”
Wei Laiguo also felt a burst of amusement after hearing this, and continued to pick up the gun, and it was another "ding" and "ding" a few times, and the bullets flew towards the enemy like eyes, and after a while, several more enemies fell to the ground.
Wei Laiguo smiled satisfactorily and continued to look for the next target.
Until now, the machine gunner Pan Yunting has always been monitoring the enemy, as long as Wei Laiguo killed an enemy, he would put a small pebble in the pit around him, and sometimes when he ran out of one, he continued to grab a handful.
The other fighters around them were also excited when they saw the situation, and they showed their true abilities to shoot at the enemy and drop bombs. The enemy was overwhelmed by the powerful firepower of our army, and could not rush up, so he could only stay where he was and scream.
When the enemy commander saw this, he had no choice but to have all the cannons and small cannons up and attack our positions. In an instant, the mud on our position splashed and smoke rose everywhere, and several soldiers were injured.
After a while, the sound of the cannon finally stopped, and the enemy rushed up again.
Wei Laiguo was very angry when he saw that the warriors were injured, and he loudly ordered, "Fight, give me a hard beating." ”
Suddenly, tongues of fire appeared on the position, and the enemy's charge was once again broken, hiding in the earthen gang and not daring to come out.
At this time, Wei Laiguo took out a small oil pot from his pocket and added some oil to his "three eight big lids". Then he threw himself into a tense battle.
Just when Wei Laiguo was on the bullet, a "whirl" sound came from his ear, and a bullet hit the dirt in front of him, stirring up a small puff of smoke, and it turned out that there was an enemy staring at Wei Laiguo.
"Oh, it's not bad, then let's look at Bibi." Wei Laiguo said in his heart. At the same time, he turned over and jumped, shifted his position, and saw several bullet holes appear in the place where he had been behind him.
Wei Laiguo was not in a hurry, pulled the trigger, aimed at the half of his head exposed behind a small mound 100 meters away, and with a "bang", the enemy was gone.
Under the command and leadership of Wei Laiguo, the warriors became more and more courageous, and bullets shot into the chest of the enemy.
At this time, another enemy commander appeared, he waved a small flag, and commanded a heavy machine gun strafing at his side. In the face of such fierce enemy fire, our soldiers had no choice but to temporarily avoid the front.
After a while, the enemy's offensive was slightly smaller, and Wei Laiguo took advantage of the gap between heavy machine gun shots and killed the enemy shooter with lightning speed, and then fired another shot, and the commander was also killed.
By now, the battle was getting dark, it was raining lightly, the enemy began to attack in the direction of the southwest corner, Wei Laiguo saw the situation, a carp stiffened, quickly picked up the gun and shot.
Pan Yunting, who was beside him, was overjoyed and kept putting stones for Wei Laiguo.
Now Wei Laiguo had killed more than ninety enemies.
Watch as the enemy on the battlefield fights down one wave, and then rushes up again.
Wei Laiguo thought to himself, first of all, to hit their commander, so that the enemy will not rush over again.
After the idea was decided, Wei Laiguo began to focus on finding the enemy commander.
His eyes were like eagle eyes, and after a glance, he found the target.
It was a large tree 100 meters away, and behind the tree there was an arm dangling, and a telescope in his hand, which was supposed to be a commander of the enemy.
Wei Laiguo didn't say a word, raised his gun, aimed at that arm and fired a shot, only to hear a "bang", that arm was shot, and blood gushed out instantly.
At this time, the enemy's commander covered the wound, he knew that he must have encountered a master this time, did not dare to fight back, and ran away with his arm in his arms. However, this situation had long been expected by Wei Laiguo, who fired a shot that just hit the enemy.
Until now, Wei Laiguo had fired 124 bullets, and only one remained, and he clenched the gun in his hand, looking for the next target.
Just then, he saw an enemy sneaking up on our position, and the most important thing was that the enemy was very tricky every time he found a hiding place.
Through analysis, Wei Laiguo knew that this enemy was not simple, and it was likely that he was an expert in shooting the other side. He did not dare to be careless, thought about it, and found that this situation could only be taken wisely, not hard.
He observed the situation around him, and then his eyes lit up, and he smiled and said to the soldiers next to him: "After a while, you will take off your hats and swing them on the muzzle of the gun to attract the attention of the enemy, and I will solve the enemy." The warrior nodded and immediately complied.
Seeing the sudden appearance of two hats on the battlefield, at first glance it really makes people think that these are two soldiers, and the enemy's shooting experts are obviously deceived and shoot at the hats.
After the bullet hit, he found that he had been counted, and he just wanted to hide, but it was too late.
Wei Laiguo killed the enemy's master shooter with the last bullet.
After the war, through everyone's statistics, in the nearly one-day blockade battle, Wei Laiguo created a new shooting record of our army.
125 bullets, eliminated 110 enemy, a company of troops.
At that time, this incident caused a sensation in the entire Liberated Area, and some military experts said: "Wei Laiguo was able to create such a miracle not only by shooting technology, but also by his wisdom as an excellent shooter and his ingenious response to unexpected situations on the battlefield." ”
On the eve of the founding of New China in 1949, Wei Laiguo went to Beijing and was cordially received by Chairman Mao.
At that time, Chen Yi pointed at Wei Laiguo and said, "Chairman, this is what I reported to you, 125 bullets killed 110 enemy Wei Laiguo. ”
Figure | Chairman Mao
Although Chairman Mao had heard of it for a long time, when he heard it again, he was still shocked and could not help but extend his thumb: "Remarkable, remarkable, one person has destroyed a company of enemies." ”
On October 1, Wei Laiguo followed Chairman Mao and other central leaders to the Tiananmen Tower and participated in the founding ceremony.
Later, Wei Laiguo, as a national combat hero, had climbed the Tiananmen Tower 6 times, and this honor was really enviable.
In 1955, at the first ceremony in China, Wei Laiguo was awarded the rank of lieutenant colonel.
Later, after a long time, many people still remember such a "sharpshooter", those young warriors who were thirsty for knowledge, every time they saw Wei Laiguo, they would invite him to shoot a few shots.
One morning, the shooting range of a certain regiment was full of gunfire, and the soldiers practiced hard for a long time, but they still did not achieve the desired results, and it was inevitable that they would lose some confidence. At this time, Wei Laiguo came, and he walked over to the warrior and comforted him well.
The platoon leader on the side saw the situation and asked Wei Laiguo to shoot a few shots, but Wei Laiguo did not agree.
Just at this time, a soldier named Xi Zhigao passed by here, and after Wei Laiguo saw it, he let Xi Zhigao shoot a few shots, and the result was a shot, so he asked Xi Zhigao to introduce his experience.
After Xi Zhigao finished speaking, Wei Laiguo said to everyone: "Sharpshooters are also people, not gods, everything must be practiced hard, the guns we have used before have been put into the museum, if I use your current gun to shoot, even if I bring reading glasses, I may not be able to shoot, everyone is so young, as long as you master the scientific method, you will be able to play well." ”
The surrounding warriors were encouraged to hear this, and they knew that although the era of the sharpshooter in Wei Laiguo had passed, his "sharpshooter" spirit had remained forever, and this spirit would affect more and more young people, and more and more sharpshooters would be born in the future.
On May 16, 2014, Wei Laiguo died of illness at the age of 90.
Although he is far away from us, he has always been the sharpshooter in our eyes.
