According to the data, in the fourth quarter of 2021, Tesla produced more than 305,000 cars and delivered more than 308,000 vehicles; in 2021, it achieved more than 936,000 deliveries, an increase of 87.4% year-on-year, which is much higher than tesla's previous annual growth of 50%.

Tesla delivers 936,000 vehicles in 2021: up 87.4% year-on-year

"If our chip supply is okay and we can meet our growth expectations, I am confident that we will maintain a growth rate of almost 50% per year." At the 2021 annual general meeting of shareholders held last October, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said. Judging from the published production and delivery data, Tesla has overcome the problem of supply chain shortages well and gained the favor of the market and consumers.

From the latest quarterly delivery data, Tesla once again set a record, more than 300,000 vehicles delivery data, an increase of 27.6% month-on-month.

Tesla also said that the delivery statistics are slightly conservative, because Tesla only counts the delivery statistics after the vehicle has actually been handed over to the customer and all relevant documents have been completed. The final delivery figures can vary by 0.5% or more.

Tesla has a lot of negative information this year, but it doesn't seem to affect its fundamentals. In the Chinese market, Tesla and some consumers are caught in controversy about vehicle quality, autonomous driving safety, etc. In the US market, Tesla has also been investigated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) for autopilot accidents, in addition, Tesla has also launched a large-scale recall due to insufficient knuckle strength and other parts.

It is worth mentioning that the Chinese market occupies an increasingly important position in Tesla's development, not only the Shanghai factory has become a new global export center, but China itself has also become one of Tesla's highest-selling markets. According to data from the Association of Automobile Associations, Tesla has exceeded 50,000 monthly sales for three consecutive months. As of November 30 last year, Tesla's Shanghai Gigafactory has delivered more than 400,000 vehicles in 2021, reaching 413283 vehicles.

Tesla's confidence is still very strong. On the last day of 2021, Tesla once again raised the price of its models in the Chinese market. According to Tesla's official website in China, the price of the Model 3 rear-wheel drive version was adjusted to 265,652 yuan, an increase of 10,000 yuan from the previous price; the price of the Model Y rear-wheel drive version was adjusted to 301,840 yuan, an increase of 21,088 yuan from the previous price.

Information on Tesla's official website in China also shows that ordering Tesla-related models now is expected to be picked up until April next year, whether it is Model 3 or Model Y, and the expected delivery date is 12-16 weeks. This is longer than the previously shown lead time, around the end of November, and the delivery cycle of the above models is still around 5-10 weeks. This shows that in the past month, Tesla has a high probability of getting a fairly good follow-up order.
