There are 4 Japanese soldiers kneeling in the cemetery, the Japanese side prays for demolition, and the Chinese side: 3 conditions must be agreed

introduction:

Sincerity is both brave and martial, and in the end it is strong and invincible. The body is dead and the spirit is the spirit, and the soul is resolute as a ghost. —— Qu Yuan's "Nine Songs of National Martyrdom"

Today, in Tengchong, Yunnan, located in the great southwest region of China, there is still the largest martyrs' memorial cemetery in the country so far, the Tengchong National Martyrs Cemetery, which is buried by soldiers who died in the battlefield of western Yunnan during the War of Resistance Against Japan. The arrangement of this cemetery is very similar to the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, giving people a sense of solemnity.

However, the most special place of this cemetery is not here, in addition to more than 9,000 martyrs who sacrificed their lives on the battlefield, there is also a small "Wozza", as soon as we hear this name, we know that it is buried by Japanese invaders.

Next to this small paksin, there were four Japanese soldiers kneeling on their knees to repent. They will always face the direction of the burial of those martyrs who sacrificed, confessing their sins to them. In this regard, after the founding of New China, the Japanese government has also repeatedly requested demolition, but our response has always been the same: we must agree to three conditions before we can demolish.

Bloody Battle Tengchong County

In 1941, when the Pacific War broke out in full swing, the Japanese aggressors chose to shift the center of gravity of the war to China's southwest region in order to realize the overall strategic deployment as soon as possible. They tried to occupy the vast yunnan province as a means of blocking China's ties with the international anti-fascist countries, thus forcing the Nationalist government to surrender early.

In the face of the wolf ambitions of the Japanese invaders, we naturally will not let them succeed. In May 1942, the expeditionary force had to retreat to western Yunnan due to the allied rout. This period of time should have been a period of recuperation for the expeditionary force. However, after the news leaked, the Japanese invaders seized such an opportunity and repeatedly invaded the western Yunnan border. It is precisely because of their obstruction that the Burma Highway cannot be passed normally. The rear passage between our side and the European Allies was thus completely cut off.

However, the Japanese invaders were not satisfied with this, and they also wanted to capture Tengchong County in Yunnan Province, and then enter Kunming through Tengchong County and push straight into Chongqing. At that time, Chongqing was also a very important stronghold of the Nationalist government.

In order to stop the plans of the Japanese invaders and protect the security of the rear area, our army has been working hard to retake Tengchong. In 1944, with the support of the World Anti-Fascist Allies, the Chinese Expeditionary Force launched a counter-offensive in western Yunnan, fighting with the enemy for several days. In the war, our army killed more than 6,000 Japanese troops and finally recaptured Tengchong.

The victory of this war has a profound significance for the people of the whole country, and is also known as the key battle of the counter-offensive to the Great Southwest. However, in fact, although we won the war, we also sacrificed more than 9,000 soldiers, who will be buried here forever with the glory of their lives.

After the founding of New China, according to the recollection of a soldier who participated in this war, every expeditionary force at that time put the life and death of the individual aside, and the former servants and successors only wanted to recover Tengchong. Later in the campaign, due to the shortage of materials, the two sides also began a fierce hand-to-hand combat. In the end, it reached the point where the corpses were piled up and the blood was everywhere, and it was precisely because of this that the war was called the "Battle of Jiaoshi".

In order to commemorate the victory of this counter-offensive war, and also to commemorate the revolutionary martyrs who died here, General Li Gengen consulted with the local government to establish a cemetery, which is what we called the Tengchong Martyrs' Cemetery at the beginning.

Obtrusive Bodoch

In addition to suggesting the cultivation of this martyrs' cemetery, General Li Gen also specially asked people to build a small woza next to it, and in front of the boozaki were also set up with four statues of Japanese commanders kneeling on the ground to repent. They were one captain and three vice captains of the Japanese 148 Wing. The leader of the Japanese army is called Yasumi Kurashige, who loves to make up the legend of his origin and family in his daily life.

The four of them knelt here to forever repent to the martyrs for the crimes they had committed. According to historical records, since December 1941, the Japanese invaders have committed heinous crimes against the people of western Yunnan and the people of Southeast Asian countries, causing irreparable and deep harm.

After invading Tengchong, the Japanese invaders brutally killed more than 6,400 ordinary people in the city and destroyed 9 bridges. Many of the city's public and private property were also divided up by them. Under the trampling of the Japanese invaders, this magnificent and beautiful ancient city of civilization suffered unprecedented suffering.

Our three conditions

After the founding of New China, the Tengchong Martyrs' Cemetery was listed as one of the key cultural relics protection units. It is worth mentioning that the Japanese soldiers who died in the Chinese battlefield have basically been sent back to Japan for burial. However, the japanese invaders, who were deeply sinful like Yasumi Kurashige, were forever detained on the battlefields of China.

After the founding of New China, the Japanese government also proposed to our side many times to dismantle Tengchong's Wozao. We have reserved room for negotiation on such a request: if the Japanese government can agree to our three conditions, we will agree to demolition.

The first condition is that the Japanese authorities first dismantle the shrine dedicated to paying tribute to The Japanese war criminals who invaded China. The second condition is that Japan officially acknowledges the fact of invading China to the whole world. The third condition is that japanese officials must solemnly apologize to the soldiers who died in the battlefield that year.

The three conditions we have put forward can be said to be reasonable and do not mix any selfish interests. The war of aggression against China launched by Japan in those years caused irreparable harm to our people. And what we have asked for is nothing more than a confession and an apology.

However, Germany has really done this, but Japan has never admitted it. Not only that, but they also tampered with domestic history textbooks without permission, constantly distorting and covering up the history of aggression.

Later, Japanese officials also tried to solve such problems with money. However, our side does not bother to negotiate with them for such shameless behavior. Until now, many scholars and institutions in Japan have argued that the Uzoma was a great disrespect for the dead and a disgrace to their country.

However, for us, the existence of the Uzo is not only to make us remember the history, but also to preserve this history! The significance of the existence of the Wozao is to remind generations of Chinese sons and daughters that today's peace is a victory won by the revolutionary martyrs who threw their heads and spilled their blood. Although we are in an era of peace, we need to be responsible for the mission of revitalizing China and not forget the national shame!

epilogue:

As long as Japan cannot face up to this history of aggression against China for a day, we will not dismantle the usuko for a day and will forever disclose the truth and crimes of Japan's invasion of China to the whole world. Every revolutionary hero buried in the Tengchong Martyrs' Cemetery carries the context of historical development. With this article, I would like to pay tribute to the revolutionary heroes who threw their heads and spilled their blood on the battlefield of Yunnan and Burma!
