In the traditional concept of Chinese, foreigners cannot be approached and believed, because they are not Chinese people and cannot unite with China.

But at the same time, the ancient Chinese are tolerant and kind, they will tolerate all guests who come from afar, and entertain them with the most sincere heart. Such a contradictory and diametrically opposed approach has created a special style that belongs to China alone.

In that war-torn era, a teenager from South Korea took refuge in China because of poverty. After the war, his relatives were ready to return to their homeland, but he shook his head and seriously said that he would stay in the land that had nurtured him and repay the people here.

Later, as he said at the beginning, he spent most of his life contributing a huge force to the development and construction of this country, and he reached the rank of vice-state. So, who is this teenager? What kind of story can he tell?

01, Naked Feelings: He said I am a Korean from China

In the late spring of 1927, the ambitious teenager was born in a family surnamed Cho in Chungcheongbuk-do, South Korea.

He ranked fourth in the family, and as soon as he came to the world, he showed vigorous vitality, which made his grandfather Zhao Dongzhi very happy and personally named him "Nanqi".

Zhao Dongzhi was a rich and prestigious local gentry who had organized and participated in the anti-Japanese struggle; his son was named Zhao Longjiu, that is, Zhao Nanqi's father, a reader who had been immersed in books all day and was deeply influenced by Confucian culture, and he was not at all concerned about the family business, so when Zhao Nanqi was born, the situation of the Zhao family had already shown a defeat.

In 1935, Zhao Longjiu province was thrifty, saved a sum of money, and sent Zhao Nanqi to the school hall to study. Because the Japanese "forcibly occupied" Korea at that time, the Korean people who went to school had to change their Japanese names, so Zhao Dongzhi's father and son gave Zhao Nanqi a name of "Toyota Nanqi" against their will.

Zhao Dongzhi instructed the young Nanqi: "Changing the surname is just a change of word." You must always remember that you are the Zhao family, and our national spirit must not be forgotten. ”

Zhao Nanqi remembered his grandfather's words, resolutely did not sing Japanese songs and did not speak Japanese in school, and often attracted the discipline of teachers. Four years later, in the middle of winter, Zhao Longjiu, who had long been in debt, decided to take his family away from home and flee.

They embarked on a difficult and hopeful road, traveling thousands of miles to northeast China and settling in a Korean village in Yongji County, Jilin Province.

Half a year later, the elderly and frail Zhao Dongzhi missed his homeland more and more, and several times made a request to his son to return to his hometown.

Zhao Longjiu originally wanted to ask the elderly Zhao Nanqi to accompany his grandfather home, but Zhao Nanqi refused, saying: "I want to stay in this land that has nurtured me, and I want to repay them." ”

Zhao Longjiu had no choice but to be escorted back to his hometown by Zhao Nanqi's younger brother. In 1945, when the news of the Japanese surrender came out, the Zhao family remained in the northeast, not like other Koreans, and could not wait to return to their homeland. At the same time, 18-year-old Zhao Nanqi made an extremely unexpected decision, saying goodbye to his parents and walking more than 100 miles to find the National League organization, just to join the CCP.

In order to express his sincerity, Zhao Nanqi, who had just come of age, did not hesitate to undertake the heavy task of "calling on the Koreans to donate grain to the troops", and completed the task perfectly, winning the favor and recognition of the superiors of the alliance organization, not only joining the army, but also getting the opportunity to enter the military and political branch schools.

In 1950, the Korean War broke out, and the only time that a foreigner from another country set foot on the battlefield, he began his glorious life.

In June of that year, the troops urgently needed soldiers who spoke Korean and were familiar with Korean customs to join the DPRK, and Zhao Nanqi became one of the candidates. Taking advantage of the night, he and his companions hurriedly took the train into the Korean battlefield to serve as an interpreter and liaison.

Once, North Korean Prime Minister Park Hyun-yong saw that Cho Nam-ki spoke Very Fluent In North Korean and asked him curiously, "Are you a North Korean?" ”

Zhao Nan did not change his color and replied naturally: "No, I am a Korean from China." ”

02, Fellowship with Jun: Mao Anying's sacrifice makes him sad

On the Korean battlefield, Zhao Nanqi's outstanding achievements were mainly reflected in the logistics and transportation front. In June 1951, Zhao Nanqi was transferred to the logistics department as the head of the transportation team, responsible for the general dispatch of automobile transportation.

Because our army failed to take control of the air power in time, the losses in the initial stage of transportation were very serious, and the pressure on Zhao Nanqi, who had just taken office, could be imagined.

But he did not give up lightly, but racked his brains to think of a solution. After a period of hard work, Zhao Nan initially drew up two plans: reverse transportation in long sections; and concentrated use of the transportation capacity of the whole army.

He personally went to the front line to coordinate the transportation work, and before each departure, Zhao Nanqi would leave a letter to his comrades-in-arms, telling them to send the letter to his parents if he did not return.

In the autumn and winter of that year, the Offensive of the Americans became more and more fierce, and the cold winter also caused difficulties in transportation work, but Zhao Nanqi still refused to accept defeat. At that time, he could not use the abacus, but could only calculate with pen and paper little by little.

The chief was distressed by him, and tried his best to help him find an old hand-cranked computer from the country, so as to solve Zhao Nanqi's difficulties and let him complete the distribution and transportation plan of the entire army.

In October 1952, Zhao Nanqi once again ushered in a difficult test. Because the scale of the US offensive is really huge, the ammunition consumption of our soldiers is staggering, and it must be replenished within 1 and a half days.

Zhao Nanqi accepted the task, first ran to the warehouse to check the ammunition surplus, and found that there was very little left; then he boldly used the way of car transportation, and after careful planning, he successfully transported 30,000 grenades from Anton, eliminating the worries of our army and shocking everyone.

At this point, Zhao Nanqi, who is only 25 years old, has become famous in the Korean battlefield and has become a behind-the-scenes hero on the steel transportation line that everyone dare not look down on.

In addition, Zhao Nanqi's friendship on the Korean battlefield with the same person is also very touching, this person is Chairman Mao's eldest son Mao Anying.

They met at the beginning of the two men's entry into the Korean battlefield, when Zhao Nanqi, who was a former staff officer at the time, obeyed the arrangement and walked into the dormitory where he was about to live, and met his emaciated roommate. The other party was very enthusiastic, and the first sentence was "Let me introduce myself, my name is Mao Anying, responsible for the Russian translation." ”

Zhao Nanqi subconsciously felt that this name was particularly familiar, and tentatively asked his roommate where he came from. Mao Anying generously revealed his "identity" and told Zhao Nanqi that his father was Chairman Mao. Such an attitude suddenly narrowed the distance between the two people, making Zhao Nanqi "comfortable" a lot.

A few months later, the US military sent reconnaissance planes to circle over the headquarters, and Peng Dehuai hurriedly ordered all the personnel to hide in the air raid shelter.

When the gasoline bomb exploded on the ground, Zhao Nanqi suddenly heard his companion shouting "save people", he looked around in panic, did not see the familiar figure, and his heart gradually appeared with a bad premonition.

Zhao Nanqi did not dare to think much, and immediately rushed out of the air raid shelter with the soldiers to save people, and finally dragged out Mao Anying, who had long lost his breath in the raging fire.

That night, Zhao Nanqi stayed up all night, always thinking about his fellowship with Mao Anying, and feeling sad for his sacrifice.

In 1953, the Korean Armistice, Cho Nam-ki personally participated in the signing ceremony. The end of the war and the arrival of peace made Zhao Nanqi's mood very complicated, on the one hand, he was happy for the future stability of the situation; on the other hand, war and sacrifice made Zhao Nanqi grow rapidly, no longer the simple and naïve teenager of the past.

Fortunately, the great righteousness of the homeland that remained in his bones and blood is still there, and Zhao Nanqi is still the revolutionary fighter who has firm conviction and stand and is dedicated to serving the country and the people.

03, did not change the original intention: his life wish is to make the people rich

In 1955, Zhao Nanqi entered the Logistics College of the People's Liberation Army; in 1956, he was promoted to instructor and was responsible for compiling a summary of the volunteer army's logistics experience; in 1957, Zhao Nanqi returned to Korea and assumed responsibilities such as withdrawing troops and handing over materials.

A year later, he returned to China with the last group of volunteer soldiers, met Mao Anying's father, Chairman Mao, and the leaders of the Communist Party of China, and received their praise.

The following year, Zhao Nanqi obeyed the arrangements of the central authorities and went to the Yanbian Military Region to engage in political propaganda work. He went deep into the militia ranks, explored the characteristics and laws of militia building, and led the militia and the two provincial military districts to make progress together.

In 1963, Zhao Nanqi, then deputy political commissar of the Yanbian Military Sub-district, participated in the work of the provincial socialist education campaign, transferred to the secretary of the relevant task force in Hunchun County, and organized the masses to move to Fangchuan.

In 1985, Zhao Nanqi was nominated by Hong Xuezhi as the minister of logistics, and what happened after being reported by the old comrades

During the special period, Zhao Nanqi was persecuted, but he was not "overthrown", but gritted his teeth to maintain the stability of the border and made great contributions to agricultural production.

In 1973, Zhao Nanqi, who resumed his work, served as political commissar of the Tonghua Military Region; in 1977, he was promoted to director of the political department of the Jilin Military Region; and in 1984, Zhao Nanqi was again promoted to political commissar of the military region.

In 1985, when the news came out that Hong Xuezhi had nominated Zhao Nanqi as the director of the Logistics Department and a general, Zhao Nanqi was immediately targeted by some anonymous comrades.

The retired cadres who had left their posts long ago wrote a letter to Hong Xuezhi, revealing his suspicions about Zhao Nanqi, saying that he might be a "secret agent" from South Korea.

Zhao Nanqi was not angered by the "report" of the old comrade, but took the initiative to accept the investigation of the relevant departments and obtained a certificate of innocence. In 1988, Zhao Nanqi was awarded the rank of general and elected vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

In 1985, Zhao Nanqi was nominated by Hong Xuezhi as the minister of logistics, and what happened after being reported by the old comrades

His life once again ushered in a huge change in his twilight years, but Zhao Nanqi was still the "teenager" who was originally a child, and he did not change his original intention and continued to work hard for the construction of China's ecological environment.

To Zhao Nanqi, his greatest wish in life is to make the people rich. Zhao Nanqi, who was too old and had gray hair, disregarded his old body and personally went deep into Huaihua, Tonghua and other places to investigate and find a favorable way for the peasants to increase their income.

Two years later, Zhao Nanqi quit the leadership team and still cared about the development of China. At the age of 91, he died of illness in the capital, ending a life full of twists and turns.

Looking at Zhao Nanqi's life, you will find that he is indeed very legendary: he is obviously a child from a foreign land, but because of huaxia's protection and nurturing for him, he is willing to stay here and dedicate his life to Huaxia.

The hero of the excellent steel logistics and transportation front on the Korean battlefield is another "identity" of Zhao Nanqi, and the friendship with Mao Anying adds a bit of regret to his war career, where Zhao Nanqi learned loyalty and tenacity, and also changed the trajectory of his life and completed a "big turn".

When he returned to China, he did not forget his original intention, continued to struggle unremittingly for the construction and development of China, regarded the motherland and the people as more important than his own life, and was unwilling to give up until he was old.

His love for China and his love for Chinese is indeed extremely touching and admirable! Such a revolutionary ancestor really has a reason to be praised and praised by the Chinese, isn't it?
