At the scene, August Chang'an shared with readers the creation story of "So Many Years" and his life experience of growing up with the characters.

The novel "So Many Years" is the final chapter of the "Zhenhua Middle School" series written by Chang'an in August, and like the three previously published works "Hello, Old Time", "Crush orange Sheng Huainan" and "The Best of Us", the story still takes place in Zhenhua Middle School. The novel tells the story of Chen Jianxia, a small town girl, who comes to Zhenhua Middle School in the provincial city. In this strange city, she loves to cry and is not sociable, and she meets Li Ran, a red-haired boy like a gentle beast. Thus, a story about youth and love spread out among them.

Compared with the previous three works, "So Many Years" maintains the consistent writing characteristics of August Chang'an: accurate capture and delicate description of youth's heart. But at the same time, August Chang'an also said, "This story is different from them. ”

"So Many Years" is the longest-spanning and longest-running novel in the Zhenhua Middle School series, "writing a story that ends after I think they have really grown." In "So Many Years", August Chang'an deliberately stripped away the beautiful filter of youth, so that the protagonist Chen Jianxia went from youth to adulthood, from the campus into society, and faced the problems of the adult world such as the original family and workplace difficulties.
