However, some of these blue lobsters are genetically blue, which is usually the result of blue lobster parents.
The catch of blue lobsters is often considered an auspicious omen, and as many researchers and scientists believe, the probability of catching a blue lobster is 1 in 10000000.

Lobsters tend to live to about 50 years old in the wild.
Given that white lobsters survive in the wild with the help of their dark camouflage, it is a small miracle that this albino lobster has been alive for about 30 years. This dark color helps to deeply blend it with the dark seabed on which they inhabit.
