Yichang Museum is an important coordinate and bright business card of Yichang city culture, integrating education, collection, research, protection, exhibition and tourism. The museum has 35615 pieces/sets of cultural relics, 84 pieces/sets of first-class cultural relics (actual number of 142 pieces), 112 pieces/sets of second-class cultural relics (actual number of 154 pieces), and 1427 pieces/sets of third-class cultural relics (actual number of 2259 pieces). In December 2020, Yichang Museum was rated as the fourth batch of national first-class museums.
