Huashan, also known as Xiyue, is one of the famous Five Peaks of China and the birthplace of Chinese civilization. Zhonghua and the "Hua" of Huaxia originate from Mount Hua. It is located in Huayin City, Weinan City, Shaanxi Province. It is bordered by qinling mountains in the south and Huangwei in the north. Since ancient times, there has been a saying that "the first mountain under the heavens".
The Long Sky Trail is located on the east side of mount Huashan's south peak. It has a history of more than 700 years. The Long Sky Trail is the risk of huashan dangerous road. Ages. Adventurers are endless. The boardwalk is a hole in the cliff of Wanling, inlaid with stone nails, and the stone nails are covered with wooden strips to form a boardwalk that is more than one foot wide. Above and below the boardwalk are cliffs, and people have to pass through it, their stomachs and faces against the cliffs. Holding his breath, he moved over step by step.
Such a thrilling boardwalk. How did it come about, and who did it? In fact, this boardwalk is related to the Huashan School, one of the branches of Taoism.
The Huashan school first appeared in the Qin and Han dynasties and was one of the sects in martial arts novels and Xian Xia novels. In 1958, Wolongsheng's martial arts novel "Flying Swallow Frightening Dragon" has a description of the Huashan School. The Huashan Sect is one of the Nine Gate Sects.
Remember the Seven Sons of Quanzhen in Jin Yong's novel "The Condor Heroes"? One of them, Hao Datong, injured his grandmother-in-law, and then was taught a harsh lesson by Aunt Yang Guo. In fact, there is really a Quanzhen Sect in history, there is really a Hao Datong, and Mr. Jin Yong's novels are not all edited.
At the end of the Song Dynasty and the beginning of the Yuan Dynasty, Wang Chongyang, the son of Chongyang, founded the Chongyang Palace, recruiting Ma Yu, Tan Chuduan, Liu Chuxuan, Qiu Chuji, Wang Chuyi, Hao Datong, Sun Bu'er, and seven disciples. These seven disciples are the "Seven Sons of Quanzhen." This Huashan sect is quite related to Hao Datong, one of the seven sons of Quanzhen.
Hao Datong took in a disciple, Lu Tongming, who, although not very famous, took in a good apprentice named He Zhizhen. He Zhizhen was originally a stonemason. Later, I somehow remembered being a Taoist priest. He first lived in many Taoist temples, and then he worshipped Lü Tongming as his teacher and practiced Taoism. Later, he felt that he could become a teacher, so he wanted to find a cave house to cultivate. Looking around, I found Mount Hua.
According to historical records, in 1276 AD, He Zhizhen went all the way from Gansu to Huashan. He saw that Mount Hua was beautiful and steep, and the mountain was steep and could not be climbed, and he thought that this place could not be disturbed by the world, and it was a place of benefit for cultivation. Therefore, I established the Quanzhen View here, intending to practice meditation here.
In order to carry forward the Quanzhen Sect, He Zhizhen "returned to his old business" and relied on his original stonemason skills, spending forty years, chiseling and chiseling, and successively excavating seventy-two caves, not only living by himself, but also inviting many Daoist friends who came to Huashan to practice. Over time, he and these Daoist friends gradually became a sect called the Huashan Sect. And He Zhizhen became the first generation of ancestors of the Huashan Sect.
In order to be able to smoothly feather the xiuxian, he dug stone holes and embedded stone nails on the steep mountainside of the south peak of Mount Hua, and then laid wooden rafters that were not wide. In the end, he nailed iron chains to the cliffs, which became a simple boardwalk.
Because of the boardwalk dug by He Zhizhen, it is almost a dangerous cliff where birds and finches cannot reach and apes cannot climb. People believe that he had the help of the gods to complete the great project of opening cliff paving and digging holes in the cliffs.
He Zhizhen persevered and created a spectacle that amazed the world! His spirit lies in it: identifying goals and persevering. He thought of things that ordinary people did not dare to think, did things that ordinary people could not do, and paid efforts that ordinary people could not pay. This spirit is also worth learning. As for the detailed process of his making the boardwalk, it cannot be verified, nor does it need to be examined.
