In November 2017, the construction of Yunjian Hall began. The green brick and white-walled building has a distinct water village style. The wavy roof resembles a bamboo scroll spread out. The vertical strip material of the wooden texture on the wall is reminiscent of a book or a piano key, and it is full of rhyme. Inside the Cloud Theater, the curved structure of the spiral staircase shows the dynamic beauty of the flowing clouds. There is a "reading ladder" in the library, where readers can climb the stairs and experience the beauty of walking through the forest and gradually entering the sea of books.
Zhang Guoqiang, deputy director of the Songjiang District Bureau of Culture and Tourism, introduced that after completion, the cultural center will meet the national first-class cultural center standards, the library branch library plus the current Songjiang District library will meet the national first-level library standards, the cultural resource distribution center will meet the national public cultural service demonstration unit standards, the Yunjian Theater will be built into the largest medium-sized Grade A theater in the five new cities, and the Yunjian Hall Art Exhibition Hall will link up with the surrounding art exhibition halls to form the largest exhibition cluster in southwest Shanghai.
