Entering the hall of the Nanjing City Wall Museum, the first thing that catches your eye is such a huge stone ticket gate, which is an arched stone component, which is built by the layers of such large stones.
Nanjing City Wall Museum is located in the east of zhonghua gate urn city, with a total construction area of about 13,000 square meters, the first floor of the open exhibition area displays the stone ticket gate, as well as the Chinese Ming and Qing Dynasty city wall joint application for the city photography exhibition, the negative one floor around the theme of "Kuangshi City Wall", displaying more than 2,000 pieces of various fine cultural relics, from the design ideas, city construction technology, imperial capital prestige, military defense, heritage inheritance of the five aspects, comprehensively display the historical culture and heritage value of the Nanjing city wall.
Subsequently, the reporter went to the negative floor of the Nanjing City Wall Museum, and more than 700 selected city wall bricks were displayed in the exhibition hall, and these city wall bricks were classified according to the source, brick printing method and other characteristics. Shi Yi, a staff member of the Nanjing City Wall Museum, introduced that each of these city bricks has an inscription on it, from the supervision officials to the craftsmen who burn bricks, they all have to engrave their names on the city bricks, and on a small city brick, according to investigation and research, they can engrave more than 70 words.
Among the more than 700 city bricks on display, there are also some interesting city bricks.
Shi Yi introduced that there are some "Jiyu bricks", Wan wannian, Shounan Mountain, Fudonghai. In addition, there was a brick maker named "Andy Lau" who also let us know him in this way, a dialogue that traveled through time and space for more than 650 years.
Among the more than 2,000 exhibits in the Nanjing City Wall Museum, the largest "block" is the kiln that fired city bricks in the Ming Dynasty. Its diameter is more than 3 meters, and its height is also more than 2 meters, because its shape is particularly like a steamed bun, so it is also called "steamed bun kiln".
Ma Lin, executive deputy director of the Nanjing City Wall Protection and Management Center, introduced that this is also through a project study found that in Lichuan County, Jiangxi Province, there are more than 200 brick kilns that fired Nanjing city wall bricks in the early Ming Dynasty. Through coordination with relevant units, a complete brick kiln was brought from more than 800 kilometers away from Nanjing to the Nanjing City Wall Museum for protection and display. The audience can see the original appearance of the brick kiln firing Nanjing city wall bricks, and also with some models and multimedia means, everyone can understand the whole process of city brick firing.
The exhibition hall on the negative floor of the Nanjing City Wall Museum also sets up a large Ming Dynasty Nanjing City Panorama Sand Table, where visitors can intuitively feel the charm of the Nanjing City Wall. In addition, the museum also collects the "city wall memories" of more than 100 experts, citizens, tourists and other different groups of people, and visitors can also leave messages after the opening of the museum to form a continuously updated "memory" data.
During the trial opening phase of the Nanjing City Wall Museum, visitors can make a real-name reservation through the "Nanjing City Wall" WeChat public account one day in advance and visit for free. The trial opening hours are tentatively scheduled for about two or three months, during which the opinions of citizens, experts and scholars will be listened to, the exhibition will be further improved, and the official opening period will be selected for the public.
