Recently, the 2021 "My Favorite Children's Book" list was announced in Shenzhen. After nearly a year, 30 libraries and 174 schools in China participated, with a total of 938197 votes, and finally 30 children's books stood out and were shortlisted for the 2021 "My Favorite Children's Books" nomination. Among them, 18 children's books won gold, silver and bronze awards in the three categories of children's literature, picture books and intellectual books.

The 2021 "My Favorite Children's Book" Reading Promotion Event Awards Ceremony was held in the form of an online live broadcast. According to reports, "Moonlight Restaurant" won the gold medal in the children's literature group, "Traveling through time and space with hamsters" and "The boy with the horns" won the silver medal in the children's literature group, and "Word Merchant", "Crystal Sky" and "The Stories I Tell Are Not True" won the bronze medal in the children's literature group.

"Da Vinci's Genius Design" won the gold medal in the knowledge reading group, "Every life is important", "Einstein and the Theory of Relativity" won the silver medal in the intellectual reading group, "Chinese characters in national treasures", "Plant Travel", "Riding the high-speed train to Xinjiang" won the bronze medal in the knowledge reading group.

The 2021 "My Favorite Children's Book" reading promotion campaign data analysis report pointed out that in recent years, the number of votes for picture books has been greater than that of children's literature and greater than that of intellectual books, which shows that the fun and readability of the literature is very attractive for primary school students.

According to reports, this event was jointly sponsored by 30 domestic libraries such as Shenzhen Children's Library. It is worth mentioning that the "My Favorite Children's Book" selection is the first children's book selection in China that is completely voted by children. In the Shenzhen area, the organizers also set up a special "Wise Eye Little Bookworm" award to encourage children to read more books and vote more, and 486 Shenzhen students won the award.
