Compared to the old model, the front face of the new Odyssey will be more atmospheric. The grille is replaced by a chrome trim pattern with a horizontal layout, the front surround and hub are smoked black, and the newly designed front and rear LED light groups are equipped with LED flowing water dynamic turn signals, which is more domineering. In the body color, three new colors have also been added, namely Greenland white, polar night quicksilver and streamer purple.
Since it is an annual redesign model, the body trim and wheelbase have not changed much, and there will be no significant improvement in space performance, which can refer to the old model.
The new model also has a redesign in the interior. The interior in brown color has been added, the instrument panel has been upgraded to a 7-inch TFT LCD instrument panel, and the gear shift mechanism has been changed to a push-button shift. The suspended 10.1-inch central control screen has a built-in Honda CONNECT3.0 intelligent guide interconnection system, which can achieve many operations through voice and provide navigation system, Wi-Fi hotspot, electronic payment, entertainment retrieval and other functions.
In addition, the new Odyssey has added a second row of double-layer acoustic glass and thickened tailgate glass to bring better NVH performance to the vehicle. At the same time, a wide range of storage spaces such as a storageable cup holder for the driver's seat and a large storage box for the passenger seat have been added, and practical configurations such as noise-cancelling tires, kick electric tailgates, plasma air purifiers, and reservation lock doors are still available.
Considering the Odyssey's nearly 3-meter wheelbase, Honda has made special optimizations for the Odyssey, and the new Odyssey has the smallest turning radius of -5.4 meters in the same class, and the vehicle's flexibility has been greatly improved.
In terms of power, the new Odyssey uses the third-generation SPORT HYBRID i-MMD dual-motor hybrid system. It is powered by a 2.0L engine with a maximum output of 107 kW and a maximum torque of 175 N·m. With the addition of the motor, the maximum power of the system is 158 kW, and the fuel consumption under the combined operating conditions is as low as 5.88 L/100Km. This hybrid system is mounted on this huge MPV, which is not at all strenuous and sufficient to use when the vehicle is fully loaded.
As a veteran who has long been at the forefront of the MPV market, I believe that the arrival of the new Odyssey will continue the previous glory in the MPV market.
