"Young Bao Qingtian", broadcast in 2000, can be said to be the common memory of the 80s and 90s, Bao Zheng's black skin, the crescent moon mark on his forehead, and the calmness when solving the case, for a time became the idol of thousands of young boys and girls. However, the historical Bao Zheng did not have a good ending, he was actually killed violently, what was the matter?
Bao Zheng, born in 999 in Hefei, Luzhou (present-day Feidong, Hefei, Anhui), was a famous courtier of the Northern Song Dynasty. He served as the inspector of imperial history, successively serving as a judge of the three divisions of the household department and an envoy of the Jingdong, Shaanxi, and Hebei Roads, and was posthumously awarded the title of Rebbe Shangshu.
Because of his selflessness in iron face, not attaching himself to the magnates, wise in judging cases, and daring to speak for the people, he was affectionately called "Bao Qingtian" and "Bao Gong", and the Beijing master had the words "the joint is not enough, there is Yan Luo Bao Lao", which shows the high status of his position in people's hearts.
Throughout his life, Bao Zheng was known for his incorruptibility, he enforced the law severely, and he was not afraid of the powerful. People compare Bao Zheng's laughter to the water of the Yellow River, describing it as extremely difficult for him to laugh.
At that time, the noble eunuchs were particularly afraid of him, and they said: "Those who secretly pay bribes and are not related to each other are the King of Yan Luo and old man Bao. "They treated Bao Zheng like the King of Yan Luo, and when they saw Bao Zheng's face, they didn't dare to lie, for fear of being taken by the King of Yan Luo."
Such a high official, however, lived an extremely simple life, and what he ate, dressed, and used was the same as that of the people, and he left behind a family motto: "Those who have committed abuse of stolen goods in the future generations shall not be released to their own homes; after their death, they shall not be buried in the great house." ”
Bao Zheng, who was so loved by the people, was shocked by the bad news of his death, and the whole city was mourning for him, "The people of the Capital Division are not sentimental; the sound of sighing is heard in Qulu."
One day in 1062, Bao Zheng suddenly felt unwell while dealing with official affairs, and after being rescued by the tai doctors, he survived and was sent to the palace for recuperation. Such an important official fell ill, and Emperor Renzong of Song immediately sent someone to send medicine over, saying that "the superior envoy gave good medicine", but within a few days, Bao Zheng died. The 64-year-old Bao Zheng usually has no bad habits and old diseases, in fact, his body is quite tough, how can he suddenly die?
Finally, more than 900 years later, Bao Zheng's grave was opened, and after experts examined it through high-tech means, it was found that Bao Zheng's bones contained a large amount of mercury. In ancient times, the famous poisons were: Crane Top Red, commonly known as arsenic, containing highly toxic (a large number of kun). Cinnabar, taken in small amounts, can calm the mind, but it contains a lot of mercury, and the amount is more deadly.
This can't help but make people wonder, was Bao Zheng killed by someone under cinnabar? According to the results of this study, some people speculate that It was Song Renzong who ordered Bao Zheng to be poisoned. After all, as an iron-faced selfless "Bao Qingtian", he must have offended many people in his daily life, including the emperor.
According to historical records, Bao Zheng experienced a total of 13 days from the onset of illness to his death, which can be regarded as a violent death in ancient times. As long as someone adds cinnabar to the soup medicine that Bao Zheng takes every day, time accumulates, enough for Bao Zheng to die, and it is impossible to find out for a while.
Let people sigh, the most ruthless imperial family, offended the emperor, most likely is a dead end. Of course, whether this cinnabar was personally ordered by Song Renzong, we have no way of knowing.
