To celebrate the Japanese New Year, Apple will launch a new campaign for Japanese users:
Between Jan. 2 and 3, customers will receive gift cards when they purchase select products, and the first 20,000 customers who purchase eligible iPhones will receive a limited edition AirTag specially designed by Apple.
It is reported that 2022 is the Year of the Tiger, so the new limited edition AirTag will be printed with a special and soft "tiger" emoticon.
According to Apple's announcement, to get one of the AirTags, customers must purchase the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, or iPhone SE in Japan on January 2 or January 3. This seems to be a limited edition AirTag with only 20,000 models, and it is unclear whether it will be launched in China and South Korea in the future.
The event also includes an Apple gift card for a different amount, depending on the product you purchased.
If you buy an iPhone 12, 12 mini, or SE, you'll receive a card worth 6,000 yen (about 334.2 yuan).
If you buy AirPods, AirPods Pro, or AirPods Max, you can get cards worth up to 9,000 yen (about 501.3 yuan).
In addition, if you buy an Apple Watch Series 3 or SE, you can get a card worth 6,000 yen (about 334.2 yuan).
Buying Apple's latest iPad Pro gives you a gift card worth 12,000 yen (about 668.4 RMB).
When you buy a Select Mac, Apple also offers gift cards up to 24,000 yen (about 1,336.8 yuan).
If you buy an Apple TV, Beats headset, or other accessory, you'll also have a gift card.
