As a famous historical and cultural city with extremely rich intangible cultural heritage resources, Guangzhou's intangible cultural heritage has been at the forefront of the country in terms of inheritance strength, innovation ability and communication level in recent years, and has repeatedly become the focus of the circle and beyond.
The Intangible Cultural Heritage Brand Conference (Guangzhou) is also an important platform for panoramic scanning of Guangdong's intangible cultural heritage, and is an excellent window to see the new appearance of Guangdong's intangible cultural heritage.

The Qilin Dance contains the folk wish for blessings and auspiciousness and the prayers of the wind and rain, Guotai and Min'an, and has both artistic appreciation and folk allegory.
Kirin dance is a traditional folk dance that is widely popular throughout the country and has a history of more than 500 years. It is a symbol of auspicious peace, smooth wind and rain, and Guotai Min'an, and is usually accompanied by gongs, drums and cheers, which integrate dance and music.
The Qilin Dance is generally performed in the agricultural leisure season and festivals or auspicious days, and the two dancers known as "Lintou" and "Linwei" are hidden in the skin of props, dressed as unicorns, performing highly technical movements such as itching, shaking hair, panning tables, pan benches, pan lanterns, ascending, falling, and looking at the moon, accompanied by percussion instruments. The Qilin Dance is rough and lively, fierce and fiery, full of majesty, and under the background of the grand momentum and strong sense of rhythm percussion, it gives people a magnificent feeling, which makes the viewer's spirit invigorate.

The Qilin dance in Guangdong is divided into Hakka, Guangfu and other genres, and in Huangge Town, Nansha District, Guangzhou, the Guangfu Qilin Dance is widely spread in many villages. Huangge Qilin Dance is performed by a combination of one person dancing head and one person dancing tail, the basic routine is to show the process of Qilin from coming out of the cave, picking green, touring the garden, and returning to the cave, with caiqing as the main plot, including out of the hole, around the head, playing the tail, looking for the green, kicking the green, eating the green, drunken green, spitting green, playing sand, spitting jade book, swimming in the garden, back to the cave, etc., which also pays special attention to the dance method of circling the head and playing the tail.
A prominent feature of the Huangge Qilin Dance is that the eight-headed Qilin dance at the same time by the spectacular lineup, led by two large Unicorns and six small Unicorns as a group dance, the size is matched, the movements echo, and the momentum is compelling. Another outstanding feature is that when the Qilin is picking green, it joins the technique of playing long sticks in the martial arts of the Southern School, specifically setting up a lead dancer, holding a long stick, tying "Qing" to the end of the long stick, while majestically displaying the routine of "playing the long stick", while walking through and jumping in the Qilin group, so that the group dance formation is divided and combined, churning and undulating, staggered, and the character of the Qilin is thick and lively, rough and mighty. Dancers also perform the difficult technique of biting the head of the unicorn with only their mouths and performing the unicorn tour of the garden.

The Huangge Qilin Dance pays attention to the effect of musical accompaniment. In addition to the use of traditional gongs, drums, cymbals, but also the drum, Cantonese flute (唢呐) and singles and other eight-tone gongs and drums into it, and commonly used Cantonese music famous song "Victory Order", so that the rhythm jumps powerfully, the melody is cheerful and bold, full of strong local charm.
The Huangge Qilin Dance is often performed in local traditional festivals and other customs and activities, containing the folk desire to welcome good fortune and the prayers of the wind and rain, Guotai Min'an, which has both strong artistic appreciation and strong allegory, and is of high value for the study of folk beliefs and traditional dances in Lingnan customs.
