The roof cable net structure of the National Speed Skating Hall adopts the domestic high vanadium closed rope, and the plane projection size of the cable net structure is about 198 × 124 meters, which is the roof of the world's largest rope net gymnasium. The first comprehensive morphological analysis method of complex tension structure was developed, and the amount of steel used was about 1/4 of that of traditional roofs.

The second floor of the façade of the National Speed Skating Hall is a high-tech curved curtain wall system, with 3360 glass units, and the curtain wall glass panel adopts semi-tempered double ultra-white double silver low radiation double laminated insulating glass. The "Ice Ribbon" is printed by a crystal clear ultra-white glass color glaze, with an average length of about 620 meters and a total length of about 13,640 meters.
