First, to be noble and lowly, and to win the people.
Being able to live under the lowly people in a noble position and mingle with the masses will win the hearts and minds of the people.
Second, the dragon has regrets, and the surplus cannot last long.
The dragon flies too high because of the excitement of the moment, and then it will regret it, because the water is overflowing, the moon is profiting, and the high place is cold, and it will not last long. Therefore, the ancients said that "too much is too late" and adhered to the way of moderation, which is the best policy.
Third, the gentleman hides the instrument in his body and waits for the time to move.
Gentlemen Taoguang cultivates obscurity, strengthens his own cultivation, practices his skills, and waits for the time to be ripe before he can take action.
Fourth, if you are poor, you will change, if you change, you will be general, and you will be general for a long time.
When encountering poverty, we must learn to adapt to changes, only change can we achieve everything, and after we have achieved it, we can last a long time.
Fifth, a gentleman does not turn in insults, and does not desecrate when he surrenders.
A gentleman is a man, not humble or profane, treats all men equally, and does not be flattered when dealing with people of high status; he does not despise people of low status.
Sixth, virtue is thin and dignified, wisdom is small and big, strength is small and the task is heavy, and it is rare to reach it.
Virtue is shallow, but he is in a high position; he is not wise enough, but he wants to do great things; and he is weak in strength but wants to take on heavy responsibilities; under these three circumstances, it is rare to be unlucky.
Seventh, good is not accumulated, not enough to become famous; evil is not accumulated, not enough to destroy the body.
If good deeds are not accumulated, they are not enough to become famous; if evil deeds are not accumulated, they are not enough to destroy their bodies. Therefore, many people feel that doing good deeds and not getting good rewards is because good deeds are not enough; many people have done bad things but have not suffered because evil deeds have not yet accumulated to a certain extent.
Eighth, the world is the same and the same way, consistent and full of worries.
Although the paths experienced by all sentient beings in the whole world are different, their destinations are the same; although people think about problems in various ways, the final result is the same. Therefore, the ancients said that "there is nothing in the world, and the mediocre people disturb themselves", and many troubles in life are actually thought out by ourselves.
9. Slowly conceal thieves and tolerate adultery.
Like to accumulate wealth, collect treasures, in fact, is equivalent to telling others, I have here everyone wants good things, you come and steal it. A woman dressed too charmingly is equivalent to luring others to come and flirt with herself.
10. Two people with one heart, their profits are broken; and the words of the same heart are as smelly as blue.
If two people can work together, then their strength is enough to cut off the hard metal. People of one heart and one mind talk like they smell the scent of an orchid, and it makes people feel comfortable. The so-called "wine is less than a thousand cups per confidant, and the words are not speculative for more than half a sentence", if two people are not a heart, no matter what they say, the other party will be difficult to accept and will feel harsh.
