Serie A may no longer be the best league in the world as it was in its heyday in the 1980s and 1990s, but it's hard to deny that it's still the most exciting league. Similarly, in the 2021-2022 season, serie A scored more goals than the other five major leagues in Europe. Averaging 3.04 goals per game, many offensive players performed well. So it's a little hard to fully embody the best player of half a season in a squad of just 11 players, but the players who are selected deserve the honor.
Goalkeeper: Menion (AC Milan)

In football, there is nothing more important than successful goalkeeping. It's a problem that has plagued United for years since the departure of Peter Schmeichel, with many fearing it would plague Milan when Donnarumma moved to Paris Saint-Germain last summer. However, Menion performed so well that Donnarumma was almost forgotten. Aside from the bad game that lost to Liverpool in the Champions League and a period of bad luck on the sidelines, Menion has been consistent. He looks like a top goalkeeper, commanding his penalty area and defense with authority. He will certainly soon become France's main player.
Right-back: Cuadrado (Juventus)
Given the level of Quadrado's performance during his time at Juventus, why he was so unpopular with Juventus fans remains a mystery. He has had 50 outstanding assists in his Juventus career and although he has not had assists this season, he is juventus' most consistent player from an offensive point of view. Cuadrado has scored four Serie A goals, just one less than Juve's top scorers Dybala and Morata. He scored a crucial winning goal against Fiorentina and scored a world-wide goal against Bologna. He will rightfully sign a new contract, which expires at the end of the season.
Centre-back: Shkrinjaer (Inter Milan)
After conte, Romelu Lukaku and Ashraf left, many expected Inter to slip sharply, but they appear to be on their way to a second league title. Shkrinjaer has been one of the pillars of the squad, with the Inter defence having conceded just 15 goals in 19 games. The Slovak prides himself on having a lion-like heart and is never ashamed to throw himself out for the final challenge – as evidenced by just looking at his performances against Real Madrid and Miner Donetsk. From a technical point of view, he has also improved this season. He ranks third in the league with 92.6% passing accuracy in Serie A.
Centre-back: Bremer (Turin)
Bremer has been highly regarded over the past period of time, with the Brazilian closely linked to joining the Premier League last season. However, it was in this season that he really exploded, proving that he was ready to join a big club. The 24-year-old has made few mistakes for the mid-ranked Turin, a team with a fourth-best defensive record in Serie A. The centre-back has excellent speed, aggressiveness and superb air superiority. In the 2021-22 season, he was the player with the most interceptions and the most headers in the league.
Left-back: Aaron Hickey (Bologna)
No country in the world now has more good left-backs than Scotland. Following Liverpool's Robertson and Arsenal's Tierney, another highly promising Scottish left-back is exploding. Bologna's 19-year-old Aaron Hicki is still a teenager, but his performances this season have been phenomenal. His defense is more solid than last season's, and that's where Hicki really shines. Technically, Hicki has an elegant possession of the ball, he solves all sorts of problems by running back and forth on the flanks, and he contributes four goals. His form has caught the attention of many Premier League clubs.
Centre-back: Brozovic (Inter Milan)
Ask any Inter fan who is the irreplaceable player in their squad and they will answer: Brozovic. The statistics don't tell you how important Brozovic is to Inter. He is the last of the Inter three in midfield, but he is the head and leg of the team. He directs the game, protects four defenders and organizes the team. He is the glue that binds everything together. As 2022 approaches, most Serie A fans consider him to be the best player in Serie A.
Centre-forward: Anguiza (Napoli)
Angu is one of the surprises of the season, not only in Italy but throughout Europe. Those who have watched cameroons play at Fulham will not believe the midfielder is capable of becoming a top player. However, this is exactly how Anguiza has performed since he went on loan to Napoli this season, and I'm glad they have the option to buy out. The 26-year-old has been a core force at Napoli, providing fabian Ruiz's brain with great power. For such a big man, he is also excellent in possession, and he is fifth on the list of Dribbles in Serie A.
Centre-back: Charhanoglu (Inter Milan)
Some Milan fans are not too concerned about Charhanolu's free move to their city rivals Inter Milan this summer. While most supporters consider the Turkish attacking midfielder to be a good player, no one believes he has performed so well at Inter this season. Charhanolu scored six goals, with only one Serie A centre-forward scoring more. He has seven assists and is the most player in the league. He is third in serie A in terms of key passes and has become the best corner player in the league. Milan fans now feel very different.
Right winger: Candreva (Sampdoria)
Candreva will turn 35 in the new year, but this season he has proven he is still a top Player in Serie A. His performance in Sampdoria is absolutely outstanding. He has five goals and six assists, putting his offensive stats second in the squad. In a 4-4-2 system, they played on the right side of the midfield, and those were impressive numbers. He also has the second most key passes in the league and the second most crosses.
Forward: Vlahović (Fiorentina)
Cristiano Ronaldo scored 33 Serie A goals for Juventus in 2020, becoming the first player since 1961 to score in italy's top flight. Vlahovic matched that number in 2021, and only Lewandowski scored more goals in this year's Europa League. The Fiorentina striker is the top scorer in Serie A this season, scoring 16 goals while he is only 21 years old, and it is clear that the Serbian has entered his personal peak. He will almost certainly leave Fiorentina in 2022 as he refuses to extend his contract, which expires in 2023. All of Europe's biggest clubs want to have him.
Forward: Giovanni Simeone (Verona)
Having scored just six goals for Cagliari last season and only 24 in the last three seasons, many believe Giovanni Simeone's top career is over. But the son of Atletico manager Simeone has seen a comeback this season after going to Verona on loan. He scored more goals in sporting action than anyone else in Serie A, scoring a total of 12 shots into the net – none from the penalty spot. That included some beautiful goals, such as the memorable one in the win over Juventus.
