According to a LinkedIn post shared by users in the Reddit community, Apple has given a unique gift to those employees who have made outstanding contributions to Apple Maps.

The gift pack includes some customized Apple Maps pins, stickers, and images, as well as a small card to thank employees for their contributions to the Apple Maps app. The card reads: "Each of you has left your mark on Springfield (probably Apple's internal code name for improving Apple Maps) for your unique contribution to the product and for your contribution to Apple's great work."

When Apple's services chief Eddy Cue rolled out the revised Apple Maps experience to Australia, he said: "Maps have been rebuilt from scratch, with better navigation, richer detail, more accurate local information, and extraordinary features that only Apple can offer, such as looking around, sharing ETA, and more." Now, it's easier than ever for users to find places they love and get to where they're going."

In an interview with CNN on the 23rd of this month, David Dorn, the head of apple maps, explained why iPhone users should choose Apple Maps instead of other mapping apps such as Google Maps/Waze.
