When choosing a name, I did spend some time and energy, and finally after comparing more than a dozen names, I decided to choose the more famous one in Chinese myths and legends, Bai Ze. I'm happy with the name because it's so prominent that it fits the scholar type of detective image I want to create.
Bai Ze is a mythical beast in Chinese legend that can make people fierce, it can speak human words, understand the love of all things, know the appearance of all things in the world, and know the names, shapes and methods of exorcision of all ghosts and monsters in the world.
Another aspect is a chain based on thinking about the story. First, the core ruse was determined. Based on the background of the times in which ruse is presented and the background of the times in which cases are solved, I have identified the early 20th century. There are many academics in this era, and here are many real characters that can be referenced.
Because Zhiwei contains many aspects such as history and folklore, coupled with the consideration of China's "ten different sounds, a hundred miles of different customs", as well as the historical flow of legends and strange talk.
