On December 26, the opening ceremony of the "2021 China Zigong Dinosaur Art Week" was held at the Zigong Dinosaur Museum. Representatives of dinosaurs, art, museums and some of the winning authors were invited to attend the event, and awards were given to the winning authors.
The event was hosted by Sichuan Digital Media Art Association and Zigong Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau, and hosted by Zigong Dinosaur Museum, Sichuan University of Light and Chemical Arts School, and Zigong Artists Association. The event aims to launch the business card of "Dinosaur Town" in our city, highlight the international influence of Zigong dinosaurs, promote the prosperity of local characteristic culture, promote the development of cultural creativity, simulated dinosaurs, dinosaur digital media and other industries, and create a unique, iconic and sustainable dinosaur art brand.
On September 16, 2021, Zigong Dinosaur Museum launched the "One Eye 100 Million Years" Art and Design Contest and the "Dinosaur Kingdom in My Eyes" Children's Theme Painting Competition activities received attention and support from people from all walks of life, and the organizers of the adult theme competition received more than 800 works from more than 700 authors from all over the country; the children's theme painting competition attracted more than 800 teenagers from 28 cities and states in 14 provinces to participate, collecting more than 730 paintings. The organizers hope to promote the vigorous development of dinosaur art through this event.
It is reported that during the 2021 China Zigong Dinosaur Art Week, the activities are rich and colorful, and the "Exhibition of Winning Works of the Art and Design Competition at a Glance and 100 Million Years" was held in the multi-functional hall on the first floor of the main exhibition hall of the Zigong Dinosaur Museum and the temporary exhibition hall on the second floor.
It is also understood that on January 1, 2022, the "I and the Master Painting Dinosaur Activity" will also be held in the main exhibition hall of the Zigong Dinosaur Museum, and the organizer will invite Zhou Zongkai, dean of the School of Film and Television Animation of Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts, to guide the primary and secondary school dinosaur lovers to carry out artistic creation on the spot. In the afternoon, a sharing session on "Paleozoological Archaeology in the Context of Science and Art Integration and Innovation" will be held at the School of Fine Arts of Sichuan University of Light and Chemical Technology, and the artistic creation, derivative development and market expansion of ancient animals will be discussed with college students, dinosaur cultural and creative enterprises and museum people. During the New Year's Day of 2022, there are also "Dinosaur Wonderful Night" acrobatic sitcoms and "Where Did Dinosaurs Go" popular science puppet dramas staged in turn at the Zigong Dinosaur Museum.
