Zeng Qing, deputy director of the Hunan Provincial Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and other leaders attended the meeting.

In order to deepen the reform of the medical and health system, better play the professional and technical advantages and leading role of tertiary hospitals, strengthen the capacity building of grass-roots health institutions, and build a diagnosis and treatment model of hierarchical medical treatment, acute and slow treatment, and two-way referral, so as to facilitate the masses to see a doctor for medical treatment, our province has comprehensively promoted the construction of "medical association". The conference announced that the leading unit of the Department of Cardiovascular Diseases and the Department of Treatment of Diseases of Hunan Provincial Federation of Traditional Chinese Medicine was the First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and announced the list of member units for awarding licenses. The participating units carried out special reports and discussions on cardiovascular diseases, specialty medical associations for the treatment of pre-existing diseases, and the development and exchange of appropriate technologies of traditional Chinese medicine, fully building a platform for academic exchanges and talent training, and further promoting the development of traditional Chinese medicine in our province.

Subsequent training courses on the promotion and application of appropriate technologies for preventive health care of traditional Chinese medicine were held and invited Professor Wang Xingkuan, a nationally renowned Chinese medicine doctor, Professor Chen Xinyu, Professor Hou Jianghong, Dr. Sun Xiangru, and Professor Sun Guixiang to bring special lectures from many aspects such as the treatment system, pediatric physique identification technology, acupuncture therapy for physique conditioning, clinical practice of physique recognition, and TCM physique management. The meeting also held a special discussion on the Hunan Provincial Treatment of Diseases (Expert Consensus) "Hunan Provincial Treatment and Conditioning Plan for The Treatment of Diseases", which played a positive role in promoting the formation of the final version of the expert consensus.

In recent years, the First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine has given full play to the radiation and leading role of regional medical centers, formed a medical association for the treatment of pre-existing diseases, established a smooth two-way referral mechanism, promoted the standardization of special diagnosis and treatment of pre-existing diseases in hospitals within the medical association, and its distinctive characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine have also attracted medical counterparts from inside and outside the province and from dozens of countries and regions such as the United States, Japan, South Korea, North Korea, Pakistan, and Thailand for academic visits and exchanges.
