At the upcoming CES 2022 exhibition, IT is expected that AMD and Intel will launch a new standard voltage platform processor for notebooks, especially game platforms.
According to reports, AMD will launch a new flagship processor for the Ryzen™ 9 6900HX, the CPU part is based on 6nm Zen3+, and the GPU part is RDNA2.
Unlike the previous Vega, AMD seems to be renaming the RDNA2 GPU, and the Ryzen™ 9 6900HX will be called the Radeon RX680M, with a maximum of 12 sets of CUs (768 stream processors).
In terms of other parameters, the Ryzen™ 9 6900HX uses 8 cores and 16 threads, L2 cache 4MB, L3 cache 16MB, the highest acceleration frequency of 4.6GHz (same as 5900HX), thermal design power consumption of 45W. In addition, the new platform also supports DDR5-4800 memory.
In addition to the 6900HX, it is expected that the Ryzen 6000 mobile APU family will also have 6900HS, Ryzen 7 6800H/HS, Ryzen 5 6600H/HS and so on.
