Yesterday we talked about the Qianlong Emperor's concubine Wang Shi, who was particularly favored because she gave birth to qianlong's youngest daughters, Gu Lun and Princess Xiao. Today we will talk about this daughter born to Concubine Wang, that is, Gu Lun and Princess Xiao, known as the Tenth Princess.

We all know that she is Qianlong's favorite daughter, so how much has this princess been spoiled? The "Miscellaneous Records of The Xiaoting Pavilion" records that Qianlong once openly and bluntly said: "If Ru is a prince, Ru will be established as a prince." This Ru refers to Princess Hexiao, and this sentence means that if the princess is a male body, Qianlong would like her to be the next emperor in his heart. Qianlong had many daughters, so why did he only say the words that were passed down to Princess Hexiao?
The first is the issue of looks. According to the "Qing Shilu", princess Hexiao's facial features have been somewhat similar to Qianlong since she was born, and who doesn't like a little self that looks like a replica? Secondly, the character of Princess Hexiao is also a large circle of powder, and the "Qing History Draft" uses "'sexual fortitude, can cut swords and bows, taste less men's clothes with cunning hunting, shoot deer Li Nai, shang daxi, and reward "" to describe Princess Hexiao.
This passage translates to the effect that she praises the princess for her decisiveness, intelligence, and archery skills that are not inferior to any of the princes. As we all know, the Manchurians attach great importance to immediate kung fu, and although Princess Xiaoxiao is a daughter, there is no place worse than her imperial brothers, and there is a reason why Qianlong is special to her.
The Diary of the Joseon Dynasty Government records that the nickname given to Princess Hexiao by the harem people was "Princess Polo", which should mean that she, like the sun god, could bring joy and hope. Why is this such a statement? At the end of the diary, there is such a passage: "If Qianlong has extraordinary troubles, the palace will borrow a princess's words to discourage him."
In the eyes of everyone, Qianlong is a king with a unstable temper, although he has also done a lot of good things for the country and the people, but when he starts a temper, he will always take the slaves to be angry, so most of the palace eunuchs are very afraid of him.
What should he do when Qianlong's mood is very bad, no matter what the people around him do, he is thunderous? Summon Princess Hexiao to him. "Although when you are angry, when you see the princess, you will be relieved." No matter how angry Qianlong was, as long as he saw Princess Hexiao, he would soon calm down.
Qianlong also spent a lot of thought on the marriage of Princess Xiaoxiao, and finally married her to his confidant and the son of Yan after careful selection. Although Princess Hexiao's mother, Wang Shi, was just an ordinary concubine, with a low rank and no prominent family lineage, Qianlong still violated the convention and crowned the princess as Princess Gulun and let her marry in a golden-roofed palanquin.
Even a princess born to an empress may not be able to enjoy this treatment, and these Qianlong all gave princess xiaoxiao, and none of the sisters of princess xiaoxiao had similar treatment.
Unfortunately, because of Hezhen's reasons, Princess Hexiao's concubine Yin de was targeted after the Jiaqing Emperor ascended the throne, and died in Jiaqing in the fifteenth year, only 36 years old, Princess Hexiao became a widow at a young age, and then she lived alone for another 13 years, and died in the third year of Daoguang at the age of 49.
