The founding father of the Western Jin Dynasty, left a legacy to help the Jin Dynasty destroy Wu, cut off the dragon vein of the ancestral tomb, and was willing to be the third duke of the folded arm

The Three Kingdoms period ended with the Jin Dynasty destroying Wu to unify the world, and the greatest contributor to the Jin Dynasty to destroy Wu was none other than Yang Hu, who is known in history as "Yang Hu's legacy to destroy Wu". Yang Hu, a famous politician, strategist and literary scholar of the Wei and Jin dynasties, and the founding father of the Western Jin Dynasty, was a clean and honest official, humble and benevolent. The Northern Song Dynasty scholar Wei Bufa commented on Yang Hu in this way: "The citizens of the sheep love deeply, and the original uncle restored good governance." The temple is full of poetry, and the virtues are reflected. ”

Yang Hu's life is full of legends, and there is no shortage of allusions to him, such as: "The Crane That Does Not Dance", "The Friendship of Sheep and Land", "The Three Dukes of Folded Arms", etc. Yang Hu has been intelligent since childhood, and when he grew up, he was more erudite and quick-witted, and sometimes famous for his good debate. Legend has it that when he was young, he played on the shore of Wenshui, and on the road he met an old man with white hair, and the old man turned to the little sheep, and the old man did not shirk his resignation, and actively helped the old man, and afterwards, the old man looked at the appearance of the sheep, thanked the sheep, and said to the sheep, "You little boy, your heart is kind, good." Look at your extraordinary appearance, he is not yet sixty years old, and you will do great things and bless the world. When the old man finished speaking, he left, and after listening to the old man's words, Yang Hu thought about it, and when he turned back to ask the old man for advice, he found that the old man had long disappeared.

Yang Hu's father was an official of Cao Wei in the Three Kingdoms, and the official was named Yang Qi (yángdào), who died when Yang Hu was twelve years old, and his children Yang Qi, Yang Huiyu, and Yang Fa were raised by his brother Yang Yan, who was then Cao Wei Taichang. After the death of his father, Yang Qi, yang Qi was full of sorrow, and the ritual of filial piety and mourning far exceeded that of ordinary people and was praised by the world.

After the death of Yang Hu's father, he often stood by the tomb to mourn, and sometimes took a shovel to cultivate soil. Sometimes a person who was good at feng shui passed by, saw the tomb of Yang Qi, and was shocked, came to Yang Hu's side, and said to Yang Hu: "Young man, don't cry, look at the feng shui of this cemetery, he will be the king of the sheep family who is proud of the world." "Although the sheep are small, they do not know the words of the xiangshi, and if they are passed on, I am afraid that it will be detrimental to the sheep family." So he took a shovel and dug up the back of the cemetery, hoping to destroy the feng shui of the cemetery with this move, in the words of the absolute master. When the Xiangshi saw Yang Hu's move, he said, "Although the dragon vein is gone, he will also produce a three-duke figure with a broken arm and a broken heir." As for the words behind the Xiangshi, Yang Hu was not worried, and he did not think so.

Later, yang hu relied on his talents to make meritorious achievements all the way, and successively ranked as a general of the Chinese army, a general of scattered horses, a general of a car ride, and so on. One day, Yang Hu went out on horseback, and because the war horse was frightened, Yang Hu accidentally fell off his horse and broke his arm. When Yang Hu died of illness at the age of fifty-eight, Sima Yan, the emperor of the Jin Dynasty, posthumously honored him as a servant and a taifu (note: At the time of the Three Kingdoms, Taiwei, Situ, and Sikong were called the Three Dukes, Taishi, Taifu, and Taibao were called the Three Divisions, and Taifu, The Great Sima and the Great General were Shanggong, above the Three Dukes), and Sima Yan also succeeded in destroying Eastern Wu with the efforts and last strategy made by Yang Hu in his lifetime, so that the Jin Dynasty unified the world and ended the Three Kingdoms era. Yang Hu had no heirs in his lifetime, and later adopted his brother Yang Fa's son Yang Zhang as a son. This is the origin of the allusion of "folding arms and three dukes".
