Xiji, a land of Zhong Lingyuxiu, the farming culture, nomadic culture, and red culture reflect each other, and the long and brilliant history, profound cultural accumulation and simple folk customs and customs have converged into the roots and veins of Xiji literature.
In the early 1980s, Xiji had a group of young people who loved literature, who were willing to be poor, but they were not willing to be lonely, and spontaneously established the "Huluhe Literary Society" and founded the mimeograph magazine "Huluhe". They experienced the hardships of life, paid attention to the hardships of life, recorded the development of society, pondered the hopes of the nation, pinned their dreams, and created a large number of works that reflected the natural environment and customs of Xihaigu, and Xiji literature began to take root in this land.
In 2007, Huluhe officially entered the official literary hall of standardized publications from a folk journal. All the way to the wind and dust, all the way bumpy, stand out in many literary journals in the country, and cultivate a number of literary masters, they walked out of Xiji, out of Guyuan, toward Ningxia, out of "Hulu River", out of "Liupan Mountain", out of "Shuofang", to the national literary circle.
In October 2011, China's first "literary hometown" settled in Xiji, marking that Xiji's literary and artistic undertakings have entered a new stage of historical development.
In the next ten years, this land not only harvested the joy of the masses to get rid of poverty and get rich, but also harvested literary crops, on the basis of Guo Wenbin's winning the Eighth Mao Dun Literature Nomination Award and the Fourth Lu Xun Literature Award, young female writer Ma Jinlian successively won the "Five Ones" Project Award, the Ethnic Minority Literature Creation Horse Award, and the Seventh Lu Xun Literature Award. Guo Wenbin, Ma Jinlian, Yi Rong, Huo Huiliang, Gu Yuan, Niu Xuezhi, Huo Zhongfang, Shan Yongzhen, Zhao Bingxin, Zhao Bingting and a number of other powerful writers have established influence throughout the country, and their writings run through the roots of the countryside, witnessing the quicksand of the years of prosperity and decline in their hometown, and also showing the new atmosphere of the literary hometown to the world.
At the same time, a large number of Xiji literary main forces represented by Li Jilin, Li Yi, Fan Wenju, Li Yaobin, Li Xingmin, and Xiye have repeatedly ranked among the major periodicals of Chinese literature, showing their outstanding literary strength and creative achievements. What is even more valuable is that in the past ten years, a group of peasant writers represented by Shan Xiaohua, Yuan Zhixue, Kang Pengfei, Wang Minqian, Wang Xiangping, Yang Xiuqin, etc. have also emerged, adding new characteristics to Xiji literature. It has trained a group of young people and campus writers such as Li Rongrong, Ma Rui, and Huo Rui, and injected fresh blood into Xiji literature. They picked up pens and spread out the paper, and used words to show the dreams and pursuits, feelings and responsibilities, dedication and dedication of Xiji literary people.
Up to now, more than 1,300 people in the county have been engaged in literary creation for a long time, including 18 members of the Chinese Writers Association and 69 members of the Ningxia Writers Association.
