On the 24th, the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress voted to pass the Law on the Prevention and Control of Noise Pollution. The law will take effect on June 5, 2022. The Noise Pollution Prevention and Control Law stipulates that any unit or individual has the obligation to protect the acoustic environment, and at the same time enjoys the right to obtain acoustic environment information and participate in and supervise the prevention and control of noise pollution in accordance with the law.
The law has made corresponding provisions on annoying nighttime construction noise, motor vehicle roaring noise, large volume of entertainment and fitness sound, and noise from neighbors and pets, and has also quieted the people to protect a harmonious and peaceful living environment.
