The Maya civilization is an outstanding representative of the ancient Indian civilization in Latin America, and although it is in the Neolithic Age, it has achieved great achievements in astronomy, mathematics, agriculture, art and writing. Along with the Inca Empire and the Aztec Empire, it is listed as the three major civilizations in the Americas (the Aztec Empire and the Maya Civilization were located in North and Central America; the Inca Empire was located in the Andes region of South America). Unlike civilizations such as Greece and Egypt, the Maya had a unified and powerful empire, and the Maya regions in their heyday were divided into hundreds of city-states, but the Mayan states traditionally belonged to the same cultural circle in terms of language, writing, religious beliefs, and customs.
