In the Song Dynasty, the name of Shu embroidery has spread throughout Shenzhou, the literature says that Shu embroidery techniques are "poor and ingenious", the development of Shu embroidery reached its peak period, and embroidery products are unique in craftsmanship, production and sales and exquisite degree. Since its inheritance, it has gradually formed a unique style of rigorous and delicate, bright and flat, sparse composition, thick and round, and bright colors. It has become one of the four famous embroideries in China along with Su embroidery, Xiang embroidery and Cantonese embroidery. In November 2019, Shu embroidery was included in the list of national intangible cultural heritage representative project protection units.
