In addition, according to the relevant forecast, global manufacturers will launch a variety of cutting-edge display products at the CES 2022 exhibition in January. The Opto Taiwan 2021 Optoelectronic Exhibition is currently being held in Taiwan, and Micro LED display products are also the key exhibits of many manufacturers, such as Zichuang Technology.
Aiming for new business opportunities, Chitron launched four major Micro LED displays
According to LEDinside's visit, four Micro LED display products were displayed at the exhibition, including 37-inch FHD modular Micro LED display, 1.58-inch PM Micro LED display, 11.6-inch vehicle Micro LED display, 7.56-inch Micro LED display, aiming at the business opportunities of emerging applications such as in-vehicle display and AR/VR.
The 37-inch Micro LED display is made up of 48 modules seamlessly spliced together, with a pitch of 0.43mm, a resolution of 1920x1080, and a pixel density of 59PPI.
The 1.58-inch PM Micro LED display adopts a passive drive scheme, with a pitch of 0.111mm, a resolution of 256x256, a pixel density of 228PPI, and a color depth of 24 bits, which can be used for smart wearable devices such as AR.
The 7.56-inch Micro LED display has a pitch of 0.222mm, supports HDR high dynamic range, has a resolution of 720x480, and a pixel density of 114PPI.
The 11.6-inch micro LED display for vehicles is the result of joint research and development by Zichuang and Pegasus, with a spacing of 0.111mm, a resolution of 2480x960 and a pixel density of 228PPI.
As a partner of Zichuang, Tianma has also released four new Micro LED display products, showing the four characteristics of splicing, transparency, flexibility and rigidity, including a 5.04-inch Micro LED splicing display, a 9.38-inch transparent Micro LED display, a 7.56-inch flexible Micro LED display, and a 11.6-inch rigid Micro LED display.
Among them, the 11.6-inch rigid Micro LED display has a resolution of 2470x960 and a pixel density of 228PPI, using LTPS TFT drive technology. According to the product parameters announced by Tianma, this Micro LED product should be the 11.6-inch micro LED display for cars exhibited by Zi Chuang this time.
Tianma said that this product is the world's first high-resolution medium-size Micro LED display, which can match the display requirements of high-end vehicle central control or instrumentation, that is, the screen size > 10 inches, and the PPI > 200.
Bet on Micro LED, and Tin Chuang intends to break through the IPO next year
In recent years, Zichuang has continued to increase its investment and layout in the field of Micro LED, which can be seen from the speed of new product development and release and the improvement of technical level.
In order to better seize the business opportunities of Micro LED, especially the development opportunities in the AR/VR field triggered by the meta-universe concept, Chitron plans to go public next year and is expected to become the first pure Micro LED concept stock.
For meta-universe business opportunities, Jichuang believes that the application of Micro LED in wearable devices such as AR/MR also needs the complementarity of the overall ecosystem such as content, optics and other supporting devices, and it is expected that within two or three years at the earliest, more Opportunities for Micro LED AR/MR products can be seen to industrialize.
In addition, based on the optimism about the prospects of Micro LED, Guangbaoke recently increased its capital by $5 million. If it is successfully listed next year, the financing ability and financial strength of Zichuang will be greatly enhanced, which will help it accelerate the commercialization and cost reduction process of Micro LED products.
