Eight mobile games, including PUBG Mobile and Glory of Kings, joined the $1 billion club

Sensor Tower store intelligence data shows that in 2021, a total of 8 mobile games will have more than $1 billion in revenue in the App Store and Google Play Store. For comparison, only 5 mobile games had annual revenues of more than $1 billion last year.

According to Sensor Tower's estimates, PUBG Mobile (and the Chinese version of Peace Elite) and Honor of Kings ranked first and second in this year's global mobile game revenue list, with $2.8 billion in annual revenue up about 9% and 14.7% year-on-year, respectively. Original God ranked third with annual revenue of about $1.8 billion; so far, Original God's cumulative global revenue on the App Store and Google Play Store has reached $2.4 billion.

Roblox ranked fourth, with revenue on mobile platforms of about $1.3 billion this year, up 20.3% year-over-year. "Coin Master" from Israeli studio Moon Active ranked fifth with $1.3 billion in revenue, up about 13.8 percent year-over-year.

The other three mobile games with annual revenues of more than $1 billion are Pokémon Go ($1.2 billion), Candy Legends ($1.2 billion) and Free Fire ($1.1 billion). Sensor Tower also pointed out that another Japanese mobile game, Uma Musume Pretty, which currently only lands in the Japanese domestic market, will also have revenues very close to $1 billion in 2021, reaching $965 million.
