In terms of downloads, according to Sensor Tower, the total number of downloads of puzzle mobile games in the US market in the past year was about 554 million, down nearly 20% year-on-year. Among them, the most downloaded puzzle mobile game is the "puzzle + decoration" game "Project Makeover" produced by McGittage, which has attracted about 14.5 million new downloads in the United States in the past 12 months. "Wordscapes" and "Candy Soda Legend" ranked second and third, respectively.

According to Sensor Tower, in the past year, classic match-3 remained the highest-revenue puzzle game segment in the U.S. mobile game market, with total revenue reaching $1.6 billion, up 12.3% year-on-year. Other Match 3 is the fastest growing segment, with 12-month total revenue of about $161 million, up 101.3% year-on-year, and typical products include Zen Match and Angry Birds: Blast.

At the same time, "other match 3" is also the most downloaded puzzle game segment in the US mobile game market in the past year, with a total of nearly 164 million downloads.

In terms of the revenue generated by the average user per download, classic match 3 has been in the forefront of all segments of puzzle games in the past 12 months, which is about $47. "Tiles Blast" and "Puzzle + Decoration" ranked second and third in this statistic.

Sensor Tower pointed out that in the past year, royal Match, developed by Turkish company Dream Games, is one of the fastest growing puzzle mobile games in the US market. As a "puzzle + decoration" game, the game's total revenue reached $208.4 million in 12 months, and has maintained its growth trend. In the first quarter of 2022, Royal Match set a record high for revenue that quarter, at about $67 million.

In addition, Sensor Tower said that the "merge" subdivision category is also worthy of attention from mobile game practitioners. In the past year, the total revenue of synthetic mobile games in the U.S. market was about $298.3 million, up 5% year-on-year. "Dragon Evolution" and "EverMerge" are representative products in this category. The agency also mentioned that Merge Mansion is one of the fastest growing merger mobile games in the U.S. market in the past year, with cumulative revenue of more than $48 million, and this year's Q1 revenue reached $17.6 million.
