Everyone who passes by this house of the Haichu family will not ignore it, and when you push the door and enter, you will be even more surprised by the artistic atmosphere of this room.

The small blue-gray building resembles an art museum, and on the third floor is a small museum with more than 100 brick platforms and more than 100 ancient statues. Looking at these collections, and then looking at the green mountains outside the window, I can't help but feel a little confused. Qingshan makes you sure that this is the Western Zhou Ruyayang Village, but these rich and exquisite collections are clearly like a museum. The owner Cai Haichu is thin and white, and although he is middle-aged, he still has the innocence of a teenager in his eyes.
In 1989, at the age of 18, Hai Chu began to contact root carving and studied under Sun Shihao at the Confucian Yang Bamboo Carving Workshop. Gifted and diligent, he immediately became a leader in the industry, and his works were more dynamic than agile. During this period, Haichu also followed Zhu Jiaxiang of the Western Zhou Guanshan Village to learn clay statue shaping. His portrayal of Maitreya Buddha and Guanyin is widely praised.
"Your sculptures in Xiangshan should be better!"
"Not only Xiangshan, but also in Ningbo and even the whole country, I should be good." Hai Chu didn't talk much, and there was a bit of conceit in his words, but his expression was earnest, and his earnest conceit made him have a high artist's temperament.
In 2005, Haichu came to Hangzhou Liu Xiaoping Root Sculpture Studio to start a 16-year-long root carving creation. During that time, he spent half of his work and half of it in hangzhou's bookstores and art academies, and his insight and pattern improved in day-to-day immersive work and study. The more he progressed, the more he saw his own shortcomings, and his 16-year career in root carving creation made his skills reach a peak, and also made his mood tired. He wanted to go home and meditate for a while. What I brought back from Hangzhou was a room full of books and the habit of reading books.
The taste is faint and faint, and the nature of the mind and body is realized. Back in my hometown, I smelled the fragrance of grass and trees, and my mind was as pure and clear as before. He hid in the hut to form a unity, and even his neighbors rarely saw Hai Chu's figure. They don't know that Jing can produce wisdom, they don't know that only if they have prosperity and lasting enthusiasm in their hearts can they be happy with this loneliness, and they don't know that Haichu has a room full of "new friends," he was fascinated by pottery.
The studio on the first floor has become a pottery workshop, and the electric kiln is majestically displayed as the protagonist. There are many pottery works on the workbench, and there are ladies with different postures, and their faces and looks are unbearable. These works are not conventional, cleverly conceived, and complete and smooth.
HaiChu said that what he admired most was the sculpture of the Tang Dynasty, and that sense of thickness and grace gave him great beauty and strength, and he sought guidance and inspiration in it. This elegant landscape hides the past of Confucianism, and also makes his works exude a natural simplicity! He rarely meets friends, his friends are a room of works and green mountains and waters outside the door, and when he is tired of creation, he will go to the green mountains and green waters. High definition, high level will be high.
He would go days without saying a word, and he would create an astonishing number of works in a single day. From root carving to pottery, he knew that he was not out of the ordinary, he just did not want to stick to the stereotypes, he wanted to explore a broader artistic path. He didn't deliberately explain, but deep down he still longed for resonance and Bole.
