The Mongol King
On July 24, 1731, the night the Qing army moved to Hetongqier, the wind was fierce, the rain was torrential, and hail fell. Suddenly, there was a palpitating sound around them, and thousands of paramilitary troops rushed out of the valley and took advantage of the hail to launch an onslaught on the Qing army like a black cloud.
The Qing army was caught off guard, and there was no way to retreat, and could only fight to the death in a desperate situation. Both sides threw in artillery and a large number of cavalry armed with shotguns, and the battle was extremely fierce, and it was precisely because the Qing army suddenly fell into a bloody battle without preparation, so the officers and men participating in the battle invariably formed the illusion of ambush, and some survivors said in the report afterwards that they were ambushed by the enemy in Hetonghuer.
In the fierce battle, the 1,000 Heilongjiang soldiers who were in front of the moving camp were the first to be defeated, and then more than 2,000 people of the Dingshou Department were also divided and surrounded. Soon, their gunpowder, lead bullets, and arrows were all gone, and Dingshou said to his subordinates: "There are too many thieves (paramiliters), you each break through, leave me alone!" The crowd replied, "We would rather follow the general, and if we can, we will go out, and if we can't, we will go to the trouble together!" Dingshou then led the officers and men to rush to kill until they were shot and killed.
Knowing that Dingshoubu was surrounded, Fu Erdan hurriedly sent more than 6,000 Qing troops to relieve the siege, but due to the strong strength of the paramilitary army, when they arrived at the battle site, Dingshoubu had already completely destroyed the army, except for a high-ranking general Zuo Chong out of the siege, all the rest were killed.

At Hetongqier, the main force of the Qing army was divided into three battalions, of which the Manchurian soldiers with the Beijing banner as the main battalion, the Mongol soldiers as the first battalion, and the Heilongjiang soldiers with the Solun soldiers (the indigenous ethnic soldiers in the Heilongjiang region) as the main battalion. In the early morning of July 25, the Heilongjiang battalion collapsed due to chaos, after which the paramilitary sent a Qing prisoner to send a message to Fu Erdan, saying: "Why should our two sides give up their lives to fight?" Instead of this, you will return to us the Lang Su who was captured the other day, and we will also send back the prisoners and corpses of your side and send them to each other to negotiate peace. ”
Fu Erdan agreed, and then ordered him to camp at Hetong' Er. Fu Erdan did this, according to analysis, it may be because the troops have been fighting hard for days, the Heilongjiang battalion has taken the lead in collapsing, he needs time to reorganize the battalion, but he forgot that the most important thing to do at this time is neither to exchange prisoners nor to reorganize the battalion, but to seize the time and desperately break through. In fact, if he organized a forced breakthrough at this time, although he would inevitably be chased and beaten by the paramilitary, the price would at most be to sacrifice the rearguard troops.
Their purpose, in addition to clearing the battlefield and resting the soldiers and horses, was mainly to wait for the Great Strategy Zero Tun Dobu and his soldiers and horses to meet with them, so that they could completely annihilate the Qing army. Unlike the confessions of the paramilitary prisoners, the reason why Daze Zero Tun Dob did not appear on the front line at the first time was because of the problem of eye disease, which had nothing to do with the rebellion of Lobzang Tenzin's people, so he could rush to participate in the battle.
On 26 July, the paramilitary sent another Qing prisoner to deliver a message saying that Zaisang, who was in charge of peace, would come soon and would exchange prisoners on the spot. Fu Erdan believed it to be true, and immediately waited for Zaisang's arrival, but instead of waiting for Zaisang and the qing prisoners who were released, he saw the great approval army roaring!
"If we talk about peace, why are there so many soldiers?" Fu Erdan was still in a daze, and the large and small strategy of the combined army had resumed the offensive, and the Qing army could no longer escape.
