The Pingyan Passage Project is located in the eastern part of Shenzhen, with a total length of 11.252 kilometers from Pingshan Avenue in Pingshan District in the north to Yanba Expressway in Yantian District in the south. The road is urban expressway standard, designed for a speed of 80 km/h, and six lanes in both directions. There are 2 large interchanges (Jinlong Interchange, Yangang East Interchange) and 1 long tunnel (Maluanshan Tunnel) on the whole line.

After the completion of the Pingyan Passage, the time and space distance between the pingshan city sub-center and the city center will be greatly shortened, and the residents of Pingshan District can reach Yantian in only 10 minutes, Luohu in 20 minutes, and Futian in 30 minutes. This is of great significance for building a new comprehensive transportation system in eastern Shenzhen, strengthening the transportation links between Pingshan District and Yantian District and the central area of Shenzhen, and accelerating the implementation of the "Eastward Strategy".
