In 1915, Yan Renmei was born in a prominent family of giants.

Her father, Yan Zhiduo, was the eldest grandson of the Yan family.
Her mother was Liu Chengyi, the granddaughter of Liu Yong, the head of the Four Elephants of Nanxun in Huzhou, and Yan Renmei's grandfather Liu Tiqing, was not only a collector of cultural relics, but also a well-known real estate merchant in Shanghai Beach, when Liu founded the Chongyu Silk Factory in Hangzhou and became a first-class large-scale silk reeling factory in the country.

In 1929, Yan Renmei's sixth sister got married, and the Ma family of a large family in Suzhou also went, and this Ma family, who opened a money house in Suzhou, can be said to be a well-off family, with many industries in the family.
It is also a coincidence that on this wedding banquet, the Ma family was obsessed with this Yan Renmei, and when they saw it, they fell in love with this beautiful and moving little girl, and they repeatedly went to the door to ask for relatives, which could spoil Yan Zhiduole and agree to this family affair at once.
Since then, Yan Renmei has been locked up at home and yan Renmei has not been allowed to go to school.
But as a new-style woman, Yan Renmei will definitely not agree.
She actually protested with hunger strikes, which made her already weak body even more vulnerable, so it led to pneumonia, and when Yan Renmei's grandfather heard that his granddaughter was in such a situation, he immediately sent someone to send his granddaughter to Hangzhou to recuperate, and Yan Renmei's grandfather Liu Tiqing was running a silk reeling factory in Hangzhou.
Yan Renmei stayed in Hangzhou for more than a year, and her condition gradually stabilized and improved.
She also finally made a deal with her father that it was okay to marry, but she had to continue school. The Chinese and Western Girls' High School also made an exception to allow her to continue her education after marriage.
In this way, in 1934, when Yan Renmei was 20 years old, she married Ma Guanliang, a young master of Suzhou.

The ancients had a saying called "words do not speculate more than half a sentence", this sentence is really appropriate to put on Yan Renmei and Ma Guanliang, the two have no feelings after marriage, and there is no common topic. One is a young master of the landlord in the old style, and the other is a new woman from a large family of foreign affairs and industry, and the ideological concepts and living habits of the two are very different, which directly leads to the discord in the family life of the two sides. Since then, marital conflicts have continued, coupled with the fact that Ma Guanliang's private life is relatively chaotic, he often fools around outside.
