From the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" period, the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan for the Development of Information Industry Science and Technology" and the Outline of the Medium- and Long-term Development Plan for 2020 proposes to focus on the development of key technologies for navigation and remote sensing in satellite application fields, to the beginning of the "Fourteenth Five-Year Plan", the Beidou III generation satellite navigation system has been fully completed, and China's satellite applications have entered a new stage.
With the continuous acceleration of the construction of national space infrastructure such as Beidou navigation and satellite remote sensing, satellite navigation and positioning technology, geographic information system technology and remote sensing technology have embarked on the "fast lane" of application. Known as the "Eye of the Starry Sky", remote sensing technology has laid a solid foundation for building a digital economy and smart life in various fields such as agriculture, forestry, climate, insurance, retail, biodiversity and other fields, combined with unmanned driving, 5G, lidar, drones, artificial intelligence and other technologies.
