Officials say that SSDs running in SLC mode will provide better sound quality than TLC mode. Specifically, the music output by the TLC mobile hard disk computer has no features and feelings, everything is flat, lacking extension and sound density. In order to improve the power supply and signal quality of the SSD, the product PCB board uses an 8-layer PCB with 2Oz thick copper, and the interface is 5U gold plated. It is equipped with two Audionote Kaisei 220uf capacitors and a separate Crystek CCHD-957 Femto active crystal. The external independent supply voltage is 5V and needs to be converted to 3.3V by the on-board circuit before it can be used.
Official advice is that this SSD needs to use an external independent 5V power supply to power it, and cannot use the 5V power supply of the computer motherboard.
