On the side of the body, the new car has the volkswagen family's iconic small slipback coupe line, the already short body with a more sporty roof and a significantly lower body height, closer to a crossover model than a traditional SUV. In the rear part of the car, the taillights of the new car generally continue the design of the T-Cross brothers, but the light source arrangement and texture details are more advanced, and the center also adopts a real through light strip, rather than a red decorative strip, which is more classy. The rear bumper part has the latest sports kit design of the Volkswagen family, and the bilateral double exhaust is very scary, of course, it is only decorative, with the large black skid plate above and the additional through-type red light strip, it looks more layered.
In the interior part, of course, the new car will not have any surprises, basically copied the design of the T-Cross model, the only thing worth mentioning may be that the double large LCD screen system guarantees a good sense of technology, and the others maintain the characteristics of the Volkswagen low-end model, which is very simple.
In terms of power, although the new car will continue the configuration of the T-Cross model, it will be built on the MQB-A0 platform, and will be equipped with 1.0T three-cylinder and 1.5T four-cylinder engines in Europe, of which the R-Line is equipped with 1.5T power maximum power of 150 horsepower and maximum torque of 250 Nm. In the future, the domestic 1.5T engine will skip this version directly, using a more powerful second-generation 160 horsepower version, which is still matched by a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, and there will be no four-wheel drive system. The 100 km/h acceleration relies on a lighter body of just 8.3 seconds, which has decent performance. According to the current progress, the new car may be listed in China next year, and it is worth looking forward to how it will perform in the future.
