Jiang Shangyue solo exhibition and Southeast Asian art group exhibition opened at the Tang Contemporary Art Center

Beijing News (reporter Liu Zhen) On December 18, Japanese artist Eupami Echi's solo exhibition "A Moment of Misunderstanding, All the Masks Fell" and the large Southeast Asian art group exhibition "Falling", respectively, opened at the same time in the first and second spaces of Beijing at the Contemporary Tang Art Center.

A solo exhibition by Japanese artist Esokue Echi, "A Moment of Misunderstanding, All the Masks Fell Off," presented at the China Contemporary Art Center's Beijing First Space, curated by Kenbashi and written by Jerome Sans, features Edue-etsu's latest 2021 "Rainbow" series of paintings.

Artist Esuga is one of the most notable artists in the third generation of contemporary artists who rose in Japan after the war. She studied at the Karlsruhe College of Art and Design in Germany and the Central Academy of Fine Arts in China. Her rich overseas experience and personal experience have made her very interested in the discipline of language and communication. Ejoe's work encompasses a variety of media forms, including sound, video, and painting, through which she explores the authenticity of human instincts and communication, providing a more human and international perspective.

The large-scale Southeast Asian art group exhibition "Falling", curated by Michela Senna, held in Beijing's second space, exhibits about 50 exhibits, all from different countries in Southeast Asia, and have gained a wide reputation in the world in the past 20 years, the exhibition not only provides people with a broad vision, but also presents a snapshot of Southeast Asian art in complexity. Curator Michaela Senna argues that "as a modern rebel, the artist expresses freedom and independence in the process of creating art. Art represents a zone of resistance to automatic control and nihilism. It embodies ancient freedom under a modern façade: it is the most essential, the most precious freedom, which exists above all else. ”
