On the morning of December 18, 2021, the Sanxingdui Site and the Jinsha Site Joint Declaration of World Cultural Heritage Work Promotion Meeting was held in Guanghan, Sichuan.
The meeting listened to a special report by the Sanxingdui Site Management Committee on the application for the Sanxingdui site. The leaders and experts attending the meeting fully affirmed the preliminary application for the Sanxingdui site and studied the current situation facing the application for the Sanxingdui site. Relevant government departments at all levels in the province and city discussed how to link up and down, cohesiveness, and comprehensively promote the application process of sanxingdui ruins. The Sanxingdui Site Management Committee and the Jinsha Site Museum signed the "Cooperation Agreement on the Joint Application for Heritage between the Sanxingdui Site and the Jinsha Site" at the meeting, and the two sides will fully cooperate on heritage declaration and research, exhibition and publicity and promotion
In addition, the Sanxingdui site protection display and environmental remediation project will be fully launched next year, the construction of the new Sanxingdui Museum will also start next year, and the protection and display of Sanxingdui culture will be further improved. In the next step, Guanghan City will take the Sanxingdui Cultural Site as the core and plan to build the Sanxingdui National Archaeological Site Park. In accordance with the standards of world cultural heritage, strengthen the protection of important relics of Sanxingdui cultural sites, restore the historical landscape to the greatest extent, and improve the environment of the site. Accelerate the preparation of the application text and the management plan for heritage protection, and strive to meet the conditions for declaring world cultural heritage at an early date.
