Intel is about to release the 65W model of the 12th generation Core at CES 2022, including multiple models from i3 to i9. Now Igor's Lab has simulated the i5-12400's game test by disabling the core on the released 12th Generation Core, and the results show that the i5-12400 has a higher frame rate than the previous generation i7-11700K.
As shown in the image above, in Borderlands 3 and Subway: Gone, the i5-12400 with the RX 6900XT has a higher frame rate performance than Intel's previous-generation i7-11700K.
The i5-12400 is based on Alder Lake-S's H0 chip, which has only 6 "Golden Cove" large cores and no "Gracemont" small cores, 2.50 - 4.40 GHz.
However, it should be noted that the foreign media is the analog i5-12400 on the higher specification C0 chip, and the real i5-12400 will have some differences in cache and electrical performance.
