Recently, a number of new friends and old friends have donated their personal financial collections to the Bank Museum, which is very touching.
"Turning zero into whole" outlines the era
Wang Yi, a former researcher in the Collection Department of the Shanghai History Museum, specializes in art, ancient road hot sausage, and various donations are mostly seen in the media. After seeing the newspaper, the financial collections of individuals were sorted out, and the "Three Gu Yinbo" was donated one after another. There are mainly propaganda slogans on the elimination of silver dollar speculation in the early days of Shanghai's liberation, the cheque book of the Founding Bank of China, the check folder of the Bank of Shanghai, the propaganda bookmark of the four modernization construction savings, as well as various kinds of prize savings certificates, accounting books, credit cooperative stocks and other items, totaling more than 40 pieces. Through a group of items rich in the characteristics of the times, the financial industry under the leadership of the Party in the early days of liberation is outlined, speculation is cracked down, the market is stabilized, and the era of bricks and tiles is added to the development of the national economy.
"Seeing the big with the small" to make up for the gap in history
Veteran media person Fang Xiang has a rich personal collection and especially loves "net shopping". Recently, I found a reconciliation list between the Justice Commercial Savings Bank and a certain business name on the Internet, and I felt that the name of the bank was quite strange, so I bought it and donated it to my museum. This seemingly "unpopular" banking institution, founded in November 1926, the address is located in Shanghai Jiangxi Road No. 62, the initial capital of 250,000 yuan, small scale, thin capital, in 1931 due to the impact of the financial trend and dismal closure, the existence time is only 5 years, in history left not many traces, small pieces of paper really have the merit of "filling".
"Learn from the past" to improve the system
Luo Dongping, a member of the Shanghai Collectors Association, has a personal collection featuring paper and miscellaneous literature. Since last year, several donations have been made to the museum. He donated a set of 12 volumes of the Economic Weekly in 1949, and during the Jinbo Cultural Week in July this year, the Bank Museum held a red financial exhibition at the National Convention and Exhibition Center, and this set of Economic Weekly was unveiled in the "Four-Leaf Clover" as an important exhibit reflecting the policy guidelines of Shanghai's financial industry in the early liberation period. Mr. Luo is a warm person, usually with our library to share and appreciate personal collection information, and often match tibetan friends to donate to the museum, this time donated a volume of "Accounting of the People's Bank of China" in 1962 to supplement and improve the library's book collection system.
Donation of collections benefits Thousands of Years. These donations not only have the important significance and historical value of "the history of physical evidence" and "learning the past and learning the present", but also reflect the heart of all sectors of society represented by these donors to care for and support the sustainable development of the bank museum, as well as the passing on of good deeds, and enhance the confidence and strength of the bank museum to continue to build Shanghai's unique financial and cultural venues and continuously develop forward.
