When He Guanghua was a child, he liked to watch his father use his spare time to "invent" at home and help hand over a tool from time to time. In 2000, after graduating from university, she entered the electrical test class of the substation maintenance area of Wuxi Power Supply Company, and soon embarked on the road of innovation and creation in the front-line position of electric power.

"Initially, according to the requirements of the class leader, I taught myself the database software and completed the development of the electrical test report filling and query system." He Guanghua introduced that at the end of 2002, Wuxi Power Supply Company conformed to the development trend of power supply cable in the urban center and established a cable work area, and she was recommended to serve as a cable technician in charge of cable testing.

Since then, with the support of her colleagues, she has led the team to carry out a series of innovative research in the fields of cable construction, operation and maintenance, and emergency repair, and overcome one on-site problem after another.

In the monitoring room on the 3rd floor of the cable transportation and inspection center of Wuxi Power Supply Company, a 10-kilometer-long cable line has a clear view of the operation, and the robot inspection has replaced manual detection. "When I first arrived at the fourth class of the cable as a technician, there were only 8 people in the class, and at that time, the cable professional did not distinguish between transmission and distribution, coupled with the large load of the cable, so the failure was frequent, and we had to go out to repair it almost every night. Since there is no fault detector, it is very difficult to find the fault point, and everyone is very hard. He Guanghua said, "As a team technician and the only college student in the class, I was very anxious and stressed at that time." ”

Therefore, she undertook the scientific and technological application project of the vehicle-mounted XLP cable fault location system. Going out to investigate, select and compare, design plans, organize implementation, continuous improvement... She and her colleagues worked day and night to finally complete the project and put it into use in August 2004. As the main equipment for the detection of cable blackout faults of Wuxi Power Supply Company, the device system has completed the "diagnosis" of nearly 1,000 cases of cable faults.

"The success of this important innovative application gave me a little sense of accomplishment." He Guanghua told reporters that the reason why he is obsessed with innovation and creation in combination with the actual work is mainly because after the success of research and development, it can bring many benefits: reduce the intensity of manual labor, improve the quality and efficiency of work, and create benefits for enterprises, industries and society.

He Guanghua led the team to find inspiration from the red wine bottle opener, successfully developed a new type of power testing and grounding tool for the 10 kV closed cable branch box, which greatly improved the level of safe operation and work efficiency; inspired by the car repair master to change the tire with a jack, developed a cable delivery hydraulic lifting platform, which not only doubled the efficiency of cable laying, but also alleviated the problems such as workers' waist muscle strain; the world's first "high drop high voltage cable line non-destructive construction technology", realizing the high drop high voltage cable from "segment reconnection" to "whole section laying" Major changes, the length of the single-section cable has been extended from the original 300 to 400 meters to several kilometers, and has been promoted and applied in the domestic power, steel, chemical and other industries, as well as More than 10 countries along the "Belt and Road", and won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2019...

This year, after He Guanghua was elected as a moral model in Jiangsu Province, her deeds could be seen everywhere in the streets and alleys. "More and more people know me, parents needless to say, children are proud." She said.

In He Guanghua's view, compared with personal income, treatment, etc., the environment and atmosphere of work and life are more important. She and her family are hands-on, curious about everything, and often discuss innovation with her husband, who works in technology. Usually, because of the need for technical research, He Guanghua often goes to other places to communicate and contact peers or experts of different professions; because she became a labor model and held a new social position, she also came into contact with more people. "It's also like a special kind of tourism that opens my eyes and ideas and allows me to keep improving."

At present, He Guanghua is employed as a part-time professor of Shanghai Craftsman College, Marx College of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and other colleges, and maintains close contact and communication with experts and scholars from CRRC Group, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, The Fifth Academy of Aerospace and other units.
