The real Liu Yong in history: not Luo Guo, not the prime minister, fighting but Hezhen, the sense of existence is very low

With the popularity of HISTORICAL TV series such as "Prime Minister Liu Luoguo" and "Qianlong Dynasty", the historical figure Liu Luoguo - Liu Yong is gradually known to everyone. However, the Liu Luo pot in everyone's heart is often affected by TV dramas, which is far from the real historical image. So, what is the historical Liu Luo pot like?

The real Liu Yong in history: not Luo Guo, not the prime minister, fighting but Hezhen, the sense of existence is very low

If you watch a movie or TV show and then learn about history, you are likely to be disappointed.

1, the non-existent prime minister

The prime minister is the most official in feudal society, and the colloquial saying "above ten thousand people, below one person" refers to the official position of the prime minister. Since the establishment of the position of prime minister in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, it has been passed down from generation to generation until the early years of the Ming Dynasty. Later, because of the early Ming Dynasty Prime Minister Hu Weiyong's power, zhu Yuanzhang was dissatisfied with him. For a time, Long Yan was furious and directly killed Hu Weiyong and abolished the post of prime minister. Since then, the position of prime minister in China, which has lasted for thousands of years, has ceased to exist, and it has not appeared in the later period.

In the late Ming Dynasty, the Qing army entered the customs. The Qing army did not have the idea of a prime minister before entering the customs, and after entering the customs, it continued the Ming Dynasty system, until the fall of the Qing Dynasty and the abdication of Puyi, there was no longer a position of prime minister. Therefore, Liu Luo's official to the prime minister was originally nonsense.

The Qing Dynasty did not have a prime minister, but established a cabinet of university scholars, whose rights were equivalent to that of a prime minister. But this is not referring to one individual, but to an entire institution. During the Qianlong period, the Qing government added the Tiren Cabinet, thus perfecting the cabinet system. It consists of three halls and three pavilions, namely Bohol Hall, Wenhua Hall, Wuying Hall, and three pavilions of Tiren Pavilion, Wenyuan Pavilion and East Pavilion. Each hall and each cabinet has a university fellow who is the highest administrative officer.

Second: Liu Luoguo's official position is actually only an honorary title

It can be seen that in the Qianlong period, the position of prime minister had long ceased to exist, but his name was evenly divided among six people, who were the highest administrators of the three halls and three cabinets.

However, in fact, as early as the Yongzheng period, the cabinet gradually changed from the earliest acting chancellor to a position with only a name and no real power. This is because during the Yongzheng period, the Yongzheng Emperor set up a military aircraft department to oversee the military and national plans. That is to say, as early as this time, the Yongzheng Emperor transferred the power of the prime minister to the department of the Military Aircraft Department, and did not appoint other powers to the cabinet, so the cabinet gradually became a department with no real name, and the position of cabinet scholar became an empty shelf with only a name and no real power.

By the time Liu Yong became an official, the cabinet had no power at all. Liu Yong's appointment as a Zhengyi Pin Ti Ren Ge University scholar may be equivalent to an honorary title, and if it is about real power, it is fundamentally the difference between heaven and earth and the difference between cloud and mud.

Liu Yong, who served as a university scholar, has neither the name of the prime minister nor the power of the prime minister, so the prime minister Liu Luoguo is a literary image created entirely because of the needs of the plot, and it is still very different from the true historical facts.

2, is Liu Luo pot really "Luo pot"?

In many film and television dramas, including cross-talk, novels, storytelling and other works of art, most of the descriptions of Liu Yong will highlight that Liu Yong is hunchbacked, and his nickname Liu Luoguo is also named after it. So, is the historical Liu Luo pot really a Luo pot? Or does Liu Luoguo only exist in film and television works, while only Liu Yong exists in history?

In fact, in the ancient imperial examination, there was a "face-seeing" project, that is, the emperor personally interviewed the candidates. At that time, it was very serious to judge people by their appearance, for example, the phoenix chicks with the same name as Wolong Zhuge Liang were not reused at the beginning because of their ugly images. There is also a legend that Zhong Kui was not allowed to enter the official to show his talents because of his ugly appearance, and directly killed the main hall.

Therefore, in this "face-seeing" temple test, if Liu Luoguo is really Luo Guo, then it will definitely not be hired because of its despicable appearance and insult to the national body.

In folklore, the reason why Liu Luo Pot is Luo Pot is probably because of these two things.

First, it was because Liu Yong was seen by the emperor when he went upstairs once, and the ancient staircase was a wooden staircase with a large slope, so Liu Yong used both hands and feet. This is very funny from the perspective of the onlooker- the emperor, so the emperor quipped with a puzzle at that time: the juniors are higher than the predecessors, let Liu Yong guess, Liu Yong also immediately replied: "Luo Guo." The emperor's golden mouth and jade words, since then, Liu Luoguo's nickname has been circulated.

Another widely circulated evidence of Liu Luoguo's being called Luo Guo is that the Jiaqing Emperor often referred to Liu Yong as "Liu Hump" above the court. But if you analyze it carefully, you know that this is not strong evidence.

Because during the Jiaqing period, Liu Yong, who was born in the fifty-ninth year of the Kangxi Dynasty, was already an ancient rarity, and people of this age, even if they were hunchbacks, were perfectly normal, so it could not prove that Liu Luo pot was Luo Pot.

Therefore, the image of Liu Luoguo in the film and television drama "Prime Minister Liu Luoguo" does not conform to historical facts, but is only for the role of literary works born for the needs of the plot, and everyone still has to carefully distinguish the historical image and film and television image when watching film and television works.
